The Santa Clarita July 4th Celebration starts early, 6:00 am, in Old Town Newhall at the Rotary Club's Pancake and Sausage Breakfast. The 40th annual Independence Day Classic running event begins at 7:00 am. It begins in Old Town Newhall's Memorial Park. The 92nd Annual Fourth of July parade kick's off at 9:00am. Best to get there early and stake out a spot. Fireworks will light up the sky over the Valencia Town Center beginning at approximately 9:15 pm. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY MY FRIENDS!

Impressive models, price points, and a beautiful piece of property!

The good news (for the housing market at least) continued this week, with flat retail sales and a cooler CPI figure. Average 30-yr mortgage rates dropped back below 7%. More inventory + improved affordability = good signs for transaction volumes in the coming months.

Jobs growth was slower than expected in April. That cheered up the bond market and helped send average 30-yr mortgage rates back down toward 7.2%. The national inventory of homes for sale continues to rise, but prices keep surprising to the upside.
