What Is A Cuban Sandwich?

The Cuban sandwich is a popular American sandwich made with two types of pork. Mojo Roasted Pork and Black Forest Ham made with Swiss Cheese, Mustard Aioli, and Sliced Deli Pickles. It is a pressed sandwich served up on Cuban bread.

Ropa Vieja means “Old Clothes” a traditional dish made with shredded beef that has been slowly cooked with onions and peppers in a Creole sauce. Served with White Rice, Black Beans and Fried Plantains….

A Pizzaiolo is a chef who specializes in making pizzas. Chef Stu doing his thing at The Hidden Havana Cuban Cafe in a Wood Burning Pizza Oven. Maybe the only old world oven in Santa Clarita.

Most beer drinkers tend to drink just a couple different beer styles without straying too far off the beaten path. But to fully understand and appreciate the wider spectrum of beer styles, here are a few types of beers that every beer drinker should taste at least once. I’m sure you have tried Corona and 805 but you must try Cervesa Hautey it’s a Cuban Style Ale.

Opus One, Screaming Eagle, Promontory, and Harlan Estates may be the best wines ever made. Screaming Eagle and Harlan Estates are considered CULT wines and are limited production of less then 600 cases a year. Both wines have found there way to The Hidden Havana Cuban Cafe.

We are only catering at this time during COVID 19 but we will open up for a day from 11am to 6pm and we will only be serving Cuban Sandwiches. Our Cuban Sandwich will be layered with Black Forest Ham, Fried Macitas Pork, Swiss Cheese, Deli Pickles, and a Mustard Aioli Spread and pressed to perfection served with Traditional Cuban sides White Rice and Black Beans.
