Bumper stickers can be a fun decal to add to your car, but what details are you providing to criminals with your bumper stickers?
From providing information of where your children attend school, to personalized plates making it easier to track your car, what we display on our car puts us at risk of becoming victims of crime.
It may be fun to display your love of dirt bikes with a bumper sticker, but chances are it’s revealing you have expensive equipment at home.
What about the sports sticker supporting your child’s team? It could be revealing that you are not home on evenings and weekends due to practices and games, leaving your empty home open for theft.
Be aware of your bumper stickers and what simple information could become a big lead for a criminal. It’s great to show support, but better to be safe.
Several deputies and sergeants at SCV Station have proudly dedicated their past time to serving in the U.S. Army, U.S. Marines or U.S. Navy.

On this Veterans Day, we continue to recognize all veterans, past and present. We honor and value everything you have done for our country. Thank you all for your service.
