Since the 1860’s, the Pelizzatti Family has farmed and made the brilliant, mineral-driven wines of Ar Pe Pe in the Valtellina where they produce Chivanasca (aka Nebbiolo). They continue the traditional winemaking ways of the region, producing organic wines made with native yeasts, long macerations and aging in large chestnut, oak, and cement barrels and tanks, but are also serious environmental innovators. Their vertiginous vineyards and incredible granite terraces are tended a mano.

Nebbiolo isn't only from Piemonte.
Join us on Wednesday June 19 when we open 19-year-old, large format bottles of Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) from Ar Pe Pe in Lombardia, making high altitude wine from vineyards about 13 miles from the Swiss border.
While the bottles last, we will serve these special wines by the glass or the taste. Additionally, the LP kitchen will create 4 dinner specials, also from Lombardia; this is not a fix-price menu, it is our regular menu with specials.
