Common Roots's farmers with disabilities reply upon support, either from family caregivers or direct care staff. These people play a critical role in our society, as well as in our mission to include people of all abilities in our farming endeavor. Together for Care has a new policy brief about the great need to better support these caregivers. Please consider taking a look:

Remember Your Farmer- from Rodale Institute
"As you eat your pasture-raised barbeque, organic blueberries, and apple pie this fourth of July, think of the farmers who put food on your table.
What is a country without its soil, and what is soil worth without the tender loving care of its farmers, its protectors?"
Common Roots is pleased to be part of a growing movement of small scale agricultural operations working to create a more just and sustainable food system. We are proud to be breaking ground by including people with disabilities in our farming endeavor. Happy 4th to all our supporters and farmer participants who join us in this effort!
Come see us on West Cliff at the Lighthouse market today! Beautiful day!
