"For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."
-2 Corinthians 4:6
We have seen 384 babies saved at Desert Rose Women's Resource Center. We celebrate the numbers, but we rejoice in the individual stories of women who walk through our doors each day and present us with an opportunity to share the Gospel.
Our primary mission is to offer relevant, life affirming, medical information to women and men considering abortion.
Our vision is that every person born and unborn be saved physically and spiritually and come into a knowledge of the truth of Jesus Christ.
We want to share a story with you from this past week when we were able to see that vision unfold as Cora* came into our clinic.
Cora was driven by a friend who herself had a recent miscarriage. Wanting to protect her, Cora had her friend wait in the car and walked in alone. It was apparent from our first encounter with her that she was in a lot of pain. She was suffering from multiple facial fractures; in her nose, her cheek and orbital bones. Cora informed us that her father had recently rescued her from a domestic violence situation, just 10 days ago.
Cora was frightened, unsure, and suspected she might be pregnant. Desert Rose Women's Resource Center provided her with a medical pregnancy test, which to Cora's relief was negative. While her medical appointment may have been over, her divine appointment was just beginning.
Cora welcomed the Gospel presentation she received from one of Desert Rose Women's Resource Center's volunteers and prayed to confirm her salvation on the spot, asking God to come into her life and help her in her current situation. She took home the Gospel materials Desert Rose Women's Resource Center offers to each patient.
We praise God for the opportunity to serve women like Cora who find themselves in desperate situations and to have the great privilege of sharing the Gospel with them and be part of their story.

Father's are the single greatest influence on a woman's decision to have an abortion or carry to term. This Thursday, Dan Rosecrans from The Father's Program at Care Net of Albuquerque will be sharing with us how we can equip and encourage the men in our churches.
Our Pastor Alliance Luncheons are especially for pastors, their spouses, church leaders and church liaisons. These complimentary luncheons are an opportunity for us to come together and learn about ways the Church can live out our faith in practical ways in our community, especially as it relates to supporting women and men facing unplanned pregnancy.
RSVPs are required, please message us or email [email protected].
Have questions about Human Trafficking in NM? Shelley Repp from the NM Dream Center in Albuquerque will be sharing with us at our next Pastor Alliance Lunch the shocking current statistics and ways you can be aware and make a difference.

At this year's banquet, we fell short of our goal. Would you pass on the message of our vision and mission to those who may be able to give towards the goal of $250,000 to allow Desert Rose Women's Resource Center to reach more lives as we end 2024 and reach for 2025?
