While in Whangarei, I got the chance to visit a Homebrewing shop . Of course I had to pick up a growler cause I don't have enough of them back in the states. Got a couple of other ingredients to bring back with me to try in some beers!

I haven't been able to find pickle sour, but I did find this Pickle Sour in New Zealand from ! Was super happy to try a pickle beer finally! Super interesting and would be great on a hot day.

One of my favorite beers whilst visiting New Zealand. From in Wellington. Fresh hopped NZ IPA using Motueka and Taiheke hops. Bonus the artwork is awesome and glows in the dark! Had it shipped to Grandma in Whangarei so it was there when I arrived! We hope to visit the brewery in a few days when we travel down to Wellington. I need a shirt!

What a beautiful can and the beer inside matched! Nice work this Dead South IPA is probably my favorite beer so far in New Zealand.

Really enjoyed dinner Rocksalt in KeriKeri! Had a Phoenix IPA and it was very good!

The mountains are calling hazy ipa was quite delicious. Ferment is a nice little taproom and bottleshop in Kerikeri with awesome staff.

Unfortunately the brewery was closed today. I badly wanted some merch as I, myself am phat....lol. We had to settle for a bottle of their All Day Sesh IPA, but it was delicious.

Found a cool taphouse with pizza in Kerikeri. Had a 90 mile ipa from Kainui Brewco. Such a beautiful country and land providing wonderful libations.

One of the best named six packs of beer I've ever seen. I present "the hairy box". Thank you for the chuckle.

I wasn't able to go this week to pay respects to as they closed their brick and morter. Jon and Trish were able to! But, in honor of them, and my series of cracking open beers I've held on to since my move...I opened this beauty yesterday, their last day. This boozy Imperial was picked up by for me in 2017! Last picture shows him with this bottle. And he is the friend that will give you bottle numbered #1. So many good times spent at 3rd st with so many good friends. It was always our go to spot. Good food and good beer. Took Rose and the kids there too many times to count. Farewell 3rd st. If I see you on the shelf, I'll buy it!

Having some Racer 5 from in honor and support of one of the OGs of Sonoma Co breweries and the family that built it! The Norgrove have always been great to my friends and family. Wish them all the best! Doesn't quite make it to Dayton, nv...picked it up in Reno.

A couple bottles I shared with tonight. The Cantillon was absolutely delicious as was the . I've been saving the DeGarde for about 4 years. It aged wonderfully. The Cantillon I picked up from Craft Beer & wine in reno. Dayton, nv has a great new drinking spot!

It had been a minute since I brewed some beer. It's not really a HopLabs beer cause if I'm not brewing with ...it's not complete! Trying out my new equipment from . It's the foundry 18. I can brew a 10 gallon batch in this monster, I did a 5 today. It performed well. There is definitely a learning curve from going to the usual 3 vessel homebrew set up to this. It's certainly easier for 1 person! Hey Anvil, feel free to sponsor, lol!

Very fun night celebrating their 10 year anniversary. They were serving $2 drafts, $2 shots and AMAZING $10 shots of some highly sought after bourbon. I got an Old Rip Van Winkle 10 year, a Jack Daniel's 10 year and a Michter's 10 year. (Also a burger and some beers). This place is amazing and if you haven't been in, you should go. Thank you Kevin and crew for a great night.

A great beer with a great label. out of Las Vegas with this beauty, Zombie Duck Hunter. Comes in at 7.2% and nicely balanced. If you see it, try it. And that label...every Nintendo kids' core memory.

in Carson City is a new bottle shop tucked away in the Carson Mall. Pat, the owner is doing all he can to cultivate great beers and spirits...most of them local. Draft served on premises is part of the plans too!

Local beer works in Reno, is absolutely amazing. Taplist is phenomenal and Rick is an awesome host and owner.
