And just like that we’re into another harvest. It’s a super exciting time to be in wine country. If you’re touring with me, we will stop for pictures and to taste the grapes and then measure the sugars (Brix).

I got invited to have a tasting at Lambert Bridge Winery yesterday and I must say it was a very special experience. It’s a beautiful property and tasting room, and the wines were delicious. I can’t wait to get you there!!

I’m often asked which is my favorite winery. I usually reply with “what’s your favorite wine”. With about a 1000 wineries to chose from between Napa and Sonoma it’s tough to have a favorite. But this truly is one of my most favorites. Here are a few shots from my walk while my guests were busy tasting delicious wines.

My Friend Marilyn and I did a tasting at Hamel Family Wines last week and boy what a treat. The modern facility is so beautiful and so are the wines.

I’ve been meaning to post a picture of my “new to me” car, Betty Too. She can carry up to 7 guests and a lot of wine. 😉😉
It’s a wonderful time of year to visit wine country. It’s quiet and the views are just breathtaking. I call it rainbow season. And the mustard is coming up.

I see mustard popping up all over already! It’s such a beautiful time of year. And crowds are so low. It’s a great time to visit Wine Country!

It’s a gorgeous day in Wine Country! I love walking around the pond at Chateau Montelena, I never know what I’m going to see and today I was surprised by an otter.

Winter in the wineries passport is a great way to see a lot of beautiful wineries for a very reasonable price.

I might say this every season but Fall is my favorite!

Smudge pots! Many moons ago these were used to protect new buds from frost. They are no longer used because they are heavy polluters.
Now I’m thinking this could be a cool art installation. 😄

I got to go up in a balloon today? What a magnificent time we all had.

I took my guests to see the Pagani Vineyard today.

Felice Pagani planted the many small vineyard blocks that make up the ranch in two stages – the oldest in the late 1890's, the youngest around 1914.

This is such a lovely property! And it’s usually packed on the weekends. Midweek is definitely a great time to go wine tasting if you want to miss the crowds.

Well it was a sad moment when I realized I was going to have to replace Black Betty, my first Suburban. But I’m pretty happy with my new rig Betty II. And with a bench in the second row I can now take groups up to 7 people.

Happy Mothers Day all you fabulous mothers!! This mother and her three daughters loved their food and wine pairing lunch at Kendall Jackson! I must admit it’s one of the best!

It’s the very beginning of a new vintage. Sigh :)

Spring has officially arrived at Bouchaine with a peek of our first bud break of the year. 🌱

Vines are dormant over Winter and while the rain pushed bud break back a couple weeks, we’re happy to have our reservoirs groundwater reserves full!

We’re excited for the 2023 vintage. 🥂🌼

I was invited to a tasting with Ehret Family Winery at their Bavarian Lion Vineyards. It was such a fun experience touring the property with their amazing views of Mount St. Helena. The wine was really fantastic and Jason was a wonderful host. I can’t wait to get you up there!
