Good samaritan shelter provides the community with many programs addressing homelessness as well as alcohol and substance abuse, and aspires to save lives and improve the health of those in need on the central coast of California. In this spirit, we partner with Organic Soup Kitchen who makes delicious and nutritious soup to support the Good Samaritan Shelter, which we help to deliver three times per month in tandem with farm fresh produce to create balanced meals. Good Samaritan staff states "Veggie Rescue and Organic Soup Kitchen provide accessible foods for the residents, especially when they run out of food at the end of tthe month. They also provide a vital part of making this a community." We are proud to partner with both Organic Soup Kitchen and North County Good Samaritan to help improve the lives of those in need in the central coast!

We’re excited to participate as a nonprofit recipient in 805 Living’s seventh annual Dishing It Out for Charity program presented by Montecito Bank & Trust. For every order of Hearts of Romaine sold through December 31, 2022, Los Olivos Wine Merchant & Cafe will donate $2 to Veggie Rescue!

In support of the Los Olivos Rotary Club, Veggie Rescue founders Terry and Holly Delaney stepped in to prepare and serve tiny veggie savory muffins and sweet veggie biscotti with flavored olive oils at the Los Olivos Jazz and Olive Festival last week. The Los Olivos Rotary event allows them to raise enough money in one day to give away to charities, local and beyond, all year. A big thank you to this club and other Santa Ynez Valley Rotary Club for being strong supporters of Veggie Rescue since our inception in 2011.
