July is National Picnic Month.
My favorite day is any type of picnic especially when it involves great crusty bread, cheeses and summer fruits. When our son was little and we lived in New England we often planned a picnic that ultimately got rained out. No problem there. We spread out our blanket in the living room, took out his plastic ants from the Ants your Pants game and ate homemade cookies, along with the above favorites.

26 years ago on this day it snowed during our wedding in New England. That didn’t stop us from hosting a three day eating extravaganza.
Today we spend the morning at the beach with a bagel. My how times have changed.

Next to winning the lottery, this is a huge day for people from Ma., especially Rivere! Kelly’s roast beef is coming to three locations including Sarasota!
We used to drive an hour every month just to get whole belly fried clams, roast beef sandwiches and onion rings that will blow your mind.
