Nancy’s is returning to Sarasota!
Nancy’s Bar-B-Q, downtown’s ORIGINAL and only BBQ joint, is pulling up stakes in Lakewood Ranch to return HOME to DOWNTOWN SARASOTA!

Nearly three years after our original downtown store shuttered at the end of its lease and in the midst of COVID, Sarasotans STILL clamor for us to re-open downtown …and so we are!
Our last day of business at our Lorraine Corners Lakewood Ranch store will be Saturday, July 8, and we expect to open our doors downtown the week after that at 1525 4th Street, in the Rosemary District, next door to Food+Beer and across from 400 Sarasota. Watch this page for more info!

Lunch | $10–20

Stopped in for the first time Saturday. Large indoor seating and outdoor seating as well. I was there for lunch time. Tables are large and I was at a table that sat 8. I did not see smaller tables that were empty. I felt bad I was at such a large table. I was given a menu and my drink order was taken. They had soft drinks and adult beverages as well. There was a good size bar and plenty tv screens. My waitress went over the menu with me and let me know about the meals that were being offered. This was good info and I thought how nice that was to tell me about the food itself. I ordered 1/2 chicken with a side of potatoes au gratin that was like she said, creamy. The chicken was juicy and the sauces were all good. Glad I had a beard to catch the drippage or I would have had a dirty shirt. The restroom was clean as was the restaurant itself. Parking was plenty at least when I was there. The people coming for a meal was steady. The food arrived to the table really fast and was good. I would go back for sure.

Kid-friendliness: No reason a kid would not be welcome.

Parking: Many parking spaces. Handicap right at the front door.
