It is with Great Sadness to announce the Passing of our Family's Matriarch; Maria Josè (Josi) Barese.

Maria was everyone's Nonna and was loved by so many. She would come into the Pizzeria and Diner all the time. Sitting at the end of the counter and greeting the patrons as they walked in.

Her humor, the multitued of stories she would tell of her memories in Italy and Argentina, would captivate anyone who was listening. She will be forever remembered and cherished.

Her legacy will live on in her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren as she watches over all of us with her husband, Vincenzo.

Her passing has been hard on each of us, and we cannot thank everyone enough, for the love, support, and condolences we have received from the community.❤

Pizza Star will be closed Friday, 01/14/22 to honor this iconic man.

He has been a legend and my personal mentor since 1977. Knowing Vincenzo all these years allowed me to be the person that I am today.

To Vincenzo and his entire family, I want to say thank you for being a part of my life.

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Jorge . Jorge passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. He had been a valued person of our team since 1988 , he was not only an employee he was also like a brother to us and will be missed . Please keep Jorge’s family in your thoughts as they go through this difficult time .
Our employees will be attending his services on Tuesday 12/7 and Wednesday 12/8 . We will reopen on Thursday 10am . Thank You for understanding.
