Last night residents enjoyed a trip to Music in the Park and to the Dairy Queen afterwards. Thank you to some our amazing staff, and Donna Nyberg and family for making this happen and for accompanying them! Everyone had a wonderful time listening to the music and seeing old friends!

Josh Osborn even stopped by to visit, showing off his medals! Congratulations Josh! 😊

Last night our residents were treated to a wonderful evening of ice cream and an outdoor movie! Everyone had a great time with lots of smiles and laughter! 🤗
Thank you to the Algonquin United Methodist Church for donating the funds to purchase ice cream and Bingo prizes! And to Laura Aikens and her granddaughter Breigh, Joanie Aikens, and Bernita Sibbald for hosting the ice cream social.
Thank you to our staff, Rachel Solomon, Darlene Shields and her children for hosting the outdoor movie! 🍿

The residents had a great time getting in a little exercise! Lots of smiles and laughter,
sometimes it's the little things in life that matter most! 🥰

It was a good morning for new hairdos and cribbage! 🤗

It's a beautiful day to get our gardening done! Flowers, tomatoes, green peppers, and onions to go along with all of our herbs! 🌿 💐 

Our phone lines and internet are down, they have been out off and on all weekend. We will keep you posted.

Rachel, You are SO knowledgeable in the work you do, you make it look easy and we definitely know it is far from that. You help make the med office run so smoothly whether it's coordinating things with family members, speaking with doctors, scheduling appointments, or any medication management, Rachel is on it!

Thank you for all the hard work you've put in the past 5 years. We don't know what we would do without you!

It is so wonderful to have a coworker that has so much pride and SO GOOD at what she does. Glenda really puts her heart and soul into her cooking, making sure the residents are full and happy is always her #1 priority.

Superior Health Support Systems

Beacon Training finished up with our Sault Ste Marie site at Hearthside Assisted Living. We had a fun filled and busy day checking off our SHSS staff on care giving skills. The day was full of learning, hands on training and valuable information. We are excited to have our staff ready to be interchangeable at all of our homes.

Beacon Training continued last week in DeTour’s Harborview Assisted Living. The staff worked with the mannequins and each other to hone their care giving skills during our annual skills check off. Great job and what a fun way to spend a day.

Wendy thank you so much for all the fun, excitement, and laughter you've brought in the years you've been with us. The way you always go above and beyond to bring so much enjoyment to the residents lives and how you're always excited about ways we as a team can improve and eager to jump on board to help is just some of the many reasons we (and the residents) appreciate you so much.

Thank you for EVERYTHING you have done and continue to do these past 14 years.

Our annual Beacon Training has begunnn!! Thank you to Pickford Fire for hosting our event yesterday and last night. Their facility was perfect for our event.
Always so excited to be a part of this training. It is the staff at SHSS’s time to have fun together working on new skills and fine tuning old ones! This is a three week event. Stay tuned for more picks!
