Today we celebrated Independence Day with our Resident 4th of July Parade 🇺🇸. Thank you to those who participated, attended or drive by and waived/honked. We appreciate your support. Happy 4th of July 🎆

It’s preparation day for our Annual Resident 4th of July Parade. Residents were busy decoration their walkers and week chairs, with the assistance of staff, for tomorrow’s big event 🇺🇸🎆

Today we made ginger snap cookies in our Kitchen Klub activity.

We celebrated all of our gentlemen today with a Father’s Day Social. Our theme was Great Lakes Lighthouses. A whitefish meal with homemade blueberry pie also mode was for dessert. A great time was had by all ⛴️

We celebrated all of our ladies today with our Mother’s Day Tea 🫖. Thank you all who attended. Everyone had such an enjoyable time on what turned out to be a lovely sunny day.

It’s Kentucky Derby Day 🏇. We spent the afternoon placing our bets on the horses while enjoying homemade Kentucky Derby Pie thanks to our baker Pat!

Banana Split Social had a great turnout!

Today we were at the Sault Area High School for their Job Fair. We met a lot of nice students who have a passion for caring for our residents.

We had a blast on our virtual spring break this past week! Good food, great fun and memories made with our friends.

UNIVERSAL WORKERS NEEDED! This position includes working in housekeeping, kitchen and as a nurse aide. Duties would include cleaning resident rooms and public areas, assisting cook with food preparation, washing dishes, cleaning kitchen, serving resident meals, assisting residents with activities of daily living, personal care for male and female residents, vitals and other duties assigned. This amazing opportunity includes medical, dental and vision benefits for those who work at least 30 hours per week. Vacation time is also available. Freighter View Assisted Living and Continuing Care Community has openings for Resident Care Aides. This is an exciting opportunity to care for our residents, while enjoying being part of an excellent team. Job duties include assisting residents with activities of daily living, medication passing and taking vitals. Applicants must be able to work the 2pm-10pm shift, available for weekends and holidays.
