I would like to devote the next coming weeks to emotions, their function, related organs natural sign. This week: Anxiety
Anxiety is there to protect us. This is one of the first point that psychotherapy will address by letting us know that we are human, coming from the caveman that we still carry within us. Anxiety makes us run away, freeze, or fight to protect ourselves. Anxiety isent something that us human necessary like to feel, but its something we must learn to tolerate and to go through to evolve on our emotional and spiritual journey.
On a spiritual level, Anxiety blocks our spiritual energy. Therefor this is why anxiety is the first building block of our emotional work/journey. We must learn about our defense mechanism and be able to look at our self for who we really are and how we operate. The goal of our emotional work is to embody our emotions and to be able to access and feel the heart and share the love and compassion. Along the way, we can get into our own spiritual work by helping other to get there from what we have learned/conquer.
Anxiety gives a lot of tensions and block the energy from the head to go down to the heart. When we operate that way, the base of the neck can hurt, and tensions on shoulders will rises on and off or permanently. So basically, we are ego driven, and mainly operate by logic. These tensions have a message for us or a lesson. I personally had to learn the lesson before they dissolved. Anxiety can also show up in the diaphragm as well (for the breath) and in the stomach (solar plexus) for will/power and the lower abdomen where our sense of safety reside. Coming from this direction, it is block from the bottom up to the heart. Any tensions that blocks our energy conduit to the heart has to be felt and embodied.
Anxiety is being represented by the wood and fire element as it represents all the blockage or tensions (burns feeling) that must be dissolve with oxygen (breath) and lift away.
Catch 21 is that we believe at first, or we have been thought by parents, society, teacher, to “protect” our heart. The more critical, rigid, stubborn, right/wrong, manipulative we are thought, the more of a barricade we have construct around us to “protect the heart”. A big ego was born…
The work is to go THROUGH and undo those barriers, and feel, and yes, it is uncomfortable, and yes you will cross people the wrong way, and yes there will be struggles and yes you will be on your way. A natural response to anxiety is to retrieve under a defense mechanism (perfectionism),to feel comfortable again. We must learn about “courage” and “strength” to function as we have been created.
This is a great article that describes embodiment of our emotions vs reacting to them. By expending our consciousness, and hold space for what is, we open our hearts and grow into the light.
What is Embodied Mindfulness? - SoulWork LA While consciousness, or mindfulness, is essential, restoration of harmony and opening to pleasure and spontaneity also requires active movement of emotional energies. A new year is starting and this is where we often look at our life and identify a change that we would like to see happen. The so call new year resolution! 🙂 That lead me to think about change and what it really takes to change our self and the life we desire.
We are conscious of about only 5% of our mind. The remaining 95% is the unconscious. This whole is what we call our personality. A gathering of experience, memories, their responses, our reactivity and conditioning to past events. In between the two sits the veil…which i also refer as rigidly. The bigger the veil, the more difficult it is to absorb or be open to something new. In our consciousness, we often look to control others, predict others motives, control our material environment to control what is stewing underneath the veil.
If we wake up every day, have the same routine, we can anticipate the same results. When we want to change, we need to be able to sit with what is uncomfortable. That uncompfortable phase is crucial as the thoughts from your ego or veil will arise trying to make you go back to what you know and feels comfortable. Thoughts like, “i cant ever become what i want”, “there is something wrong with me”, “ there is something wrong here” “ i am not smart enough” will stir fear and anxiety and throw us back into the reactivity that will meet the past and makes us feel compfortable again. They key is to be prepare, welcome those thought, look and them pass, see what emotion they might stir, sit with and and look at them pass. Then a window open for a new experience and desire response. This is what meditation teaches, to become conscious of the unconscious. They key reside in us!
We need to be able to sit and look at our past, how we were brought up, raised by our parents and society and the results it had on us. To be able to label the thoughts that are crossing our mind and to change them. That means leaving a part of us behind that we so call our personality and that is the scary part…because we cant anticipate or know what we will be tomorrow. Friends that is the bridge to change! If we change, the reality of people around us will also change …that will trigger their veil if they havent put the work into it. This is where good boundaries comes into play.
The head and its logic are the conscious and the body refers to the unconscious! Freeing our spirit, feeling good in our body by creating the future or the life we want! Our breath is a meditative way to create that bridge or openness! Be courageous, have faith and welcome change!
Happy New Year 2023
Here we go, What is Love?
Love is the greater connector to all that exist and the gift of aliveness. When your heart chakra is open it emanates love, and there is gratitude for existance or being, or for a simple act of kindness. You know that wave or swelling, growing within you that lands in your heart. Gratitude is also the antidote to negative emotions it swell within moving energy up from second Chakra where the less pleasant emotions resides.
The heart Chakra is also where fear reside. When we live in fear we do not live in love. We know or remember fear, that feeling of a heavy chest, or breathing just from the top, or that sharp pain behind the shoulder blade indicating a close heart. There is homework there to be done; to go through these unpleasant emotions like fear/anxiety, shame, anger and sadness to free our soul and live in Love. These not so pleasant emotions, who are ego driven, needs to be looked at as they are crucial to our restoration. They are the language of the soul through our body to let us know what isn’t agreeing with our life and needs changes to restore its vitality and joy of being by living in a state of love.
When living in a inner state of love, you will feel the warmest it gives, the goose bumps that travels and that openness within your core. You will see the good in others, animals will love you, a landscape or simply looking at the trees will make your spirit move and feel gratitude, you will also notice that people will talk to you, smile at you and reach to you. You ‘ll also experience a whide range of emotions that you recognize as being a gift from above, and look at them come and go without the reactivity of the ego. A sense of connection with your higher self will lead you. You will be compassionate to others and the journey they are walking; There will be a sense connectivity and respect toward others as we are all the same. This is where energy is abundant 🙂 and the colors are brighter.
My breath is my way to love! It clears my unpleasant emotions and bring me to an open heart. Taking the time to look at trees and feeling the breath nurturing my spirit is a gift. I can’t never get enough of that goose bumps that leads me to my heart and free my soul! Follow it, it is your guide.
Breathwork Healing Retreat October 2022. It is always an honorable pleasure to do inner work with David Elliott, his assistante Danielle Hering, and Julie Brinkley. The loving environment is conductive to healing and groth…the energy was there, i saw the light, my soul and felt third eye opening. This is a wavering process but one that keeps on building and regarded with respect and self compassion.
Breathwork group and sound bath from last night. The energy was there! 🙏✨
“Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. The most terrifying thing is to accept oneself completely. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.”

Someone close to my heart asked me what it meant to be a loving person and how come they were unable to go there and love back. While I appreciated the vulnerability, courage, and curiosity it took to ask such question, I felt the charge to the loaded question. Depending how the conversation went, I could help, or I could hinder. There is always a fine line to a thirsty logic in spite to avoid pain and the emotional aftermath it can creates…on a near future it could be hard to absorb creating extreme anxiety, but in the long run it can help, as answers are always revealed.
So I simply answered that love was probably the universal currency that we all wished for, and blindly believe at some point that we possess right from the bat…without doing any work. This is us being narcissus. ( If you are not too verse with who narcissus is, I recommend you look this one up. ) Basically, he was so beautiful that he could not even look at his own projection. I followed with to love others we need to love ourself first as human being with our dark and light side, so in a nutshell to love our humanness as we were created. We need to work out our humanness, our shame and our ancestry …to see and then to accept within us that we have a dark side that needs to be expose only to free ourself and become what we are meant to be...to become the light. Only by exposing it, the light and loves for yourself and others will follow…which we refer as compassion. I will let you figure out the meaning and origin of Passion and Compassion routed in Greek and French language which is another topic on its own.
My answer might have been a classical one, as we hear this in churches, schools and spread throughout society…not to mention the ever-positive post out there on social media talking about love that just leaves you feeling awkward in your humanity. But for a lot of us it just leaves us feeling even more awkward, because we know, as human being, that we are a making of both. It can be really anxiety provoking to look at our darkness or to realize that we are not the Perfect one. I remember when I personally sat with it…I totally forgot where I was, my heart started pounding, sweating and I missed a few second if not ½ a minute of reality. It was, let’s say, a shock to absorb! Then time passes so did experiences…and I was finally able to answer my eternal question: why was I here! But that alone took probably a decade of work, self-analysis and many many breathing sessions.
Once I could answer that one, I was on a mission and life changed. I am here to love others, to have compassion for their experiences, to sit and listen to them rather than to judge them, to create space for them when they have a hard time seeing the room or the universe or the potential they hold. In a nutshell, to see you cause you worth it simply put! They might even teach me something along the way…. In exchange, I receive love back! That process isent possible if you believe that you aren’t worthy of love or being love.
In my next post, I will cover the somatic symptoms of a close and open heart in the energy healing world or spirituality… For now I will leave you with an exert of “The Petit Prince” that a close friend recently reminded me of, that I had also read decades ago when I first learn about my perfectionism, which blinded me. I would like to share it with you as it is simple and pure.
– “I love you” – said the little Prince.
– “I want you too” – said the rose.
– “Is not the same” – he answered…
To want, is to take possession of something, someone. It is to search in others those things that fill the personal expectations of affection, of company… Wanting is to make ours, what does not belong to us, it is to take ownership or desire something to complete us, because at some point we recognize we are lacking.
To Love is to wish the best for the other, even when it has very different motivations. To Love is to allow you to be happy, even when your path is different from mine. It is a selfless feeling which is born in a donation, is giving ourselves completely from the heart.
When we Love, we give ourselves without asking anything in return, just for the simple and pure pleasure of giving. But it is also true that this hand over, this giving, selfless, occurs only in the knowledge. We can only love what we know, because loving involves jumping into the void, trust the life and soul. And the soul is not compensated. And knowing is just to know yourself, your joys, your peace, but also of your anger, your struggles, your mistakes. Because love transcends the anger, fights, errors and it is not just for moments of joy.
To Love is a full confidence that whatever happens, you will be, not because you owe anything, not with selfish possession, but being, in silent company.
To Love is to know that the weather does not change you, nor the storms, or my winters.
To Love is to give you a place in my heart for you to stay, as father, mother, brother, son, friend, and know that there is a place in yours for me.
Giving love does not exhaust the love; on the contrary, it increases it. The way to give back so much love is to open your heart, and let you be loved”.
– “I already understood” – said the rose.
– “Don’t understand it, live it”- said the little Prince.

DEEP WOMEN ARE OFTEN MISUNDERSTOOD
Deep women are often misunderstood because they are extraordinary. They are once in a life time kind of people. Deep women are different. And what makes deep women different is who they are; their big hearts, intelligent minds and kind Spirits.
They're depth itself. People aren’t good at understanding what’s different, they’re not great at embracing it and most importantly, they don’t know how to keep it.
Deep women are misunderstood because they are unusual. They are not like most women out there who give a s**t about what people think of them.
They are not afraid of speaking their mind; they are strong-headed, bold, brave.
Deep women are comfortable in their skin. They Love who they are and they own it.
They are self-aware of their strengths and weakness so they are always evolving to better versions of who they are. People might think they would change their essence for someone but the truth is that they are open-minded; open to change, compromise, and personal development.
They have a heart of gold. They don’t judge people and accept them for who they really are. They don’t jump into conclusions about people they’ve just met or people in their life. They believe in second and 99 chances. Deep women don’t give-up on people instead they fight for them until the end.
They see the beauty in people. They fall in Love with their flaws. And because they see the best in people, deep women are called naïve. Their eyes see beauty in what is broken, their hands feel tenderness in what’s damaged.
They feel everything. They feel pain and pleasure. They feel happiness and sadness. They feel confident and they feel insecure. They feel calm and anxious. Deep women are empathic because they feel other people’s feelings. People’s energy becomes theirs. People’s problems become of their own. And because deep women are connected to those around them in such a delicate way, they are seen as “sensitive”,” too emotional”, “too much”.
Deep women are passionate and love life. They adore kids. They are crazy about animals, food, travelling, music and the little things. Their passion for love is mistaken for desperation because they are committed. They pour their heart in everything they do. Their eyes are always glowing. Their positive attitude is often taken as being too enthusiastic or just plain fake.
They are thoughtful. They think about the little and the big things. They feed on details. They look for what is below the surface. They search for the magical side to people that they lock away. Deep women remember everything you tell them because they pay attention not because they want to have some sort of leverage on you when the opportunity presents itself.
They notice things about you that you don’t notice about yourself. They know your quirks like no one else does. They know your favorite things in the world by heart. Deep women are told they are complicated because they over-think while in fact they’re just complex.
Deep women are one of the best things that could ever happen to someone because they present to you a different level of life. A deeper one, a more meaningful one.
They help you fall back in love with who you are and reconnect to the world as a whole. They show you what really matters in life and why it does.
We need more deep women in this world who make life more than a journey; a lifetime dream worth fighting for. Deep women should be celebrated. Their depth should be praised and recognized.

10 Signs that You Are a Spiritual Person Fearlessness is the first sign of a spiritual person. When you have fear, your life is taken by that fear and you make wrong decisions.
Reiki and Breathwork peaceful space!
What an honorable place to be in life when you get the opportunity to hold space for others. It is truly a blessing to be part of your journey. Mine started 17 years ago when I started to recognize my somatic feelings that lead me to incarnation, meaning being into the body instead of being in the head. Every feeling/emotion had a meaning. With my breath I learned to dissipate the pain and look at what was underneath. Instead of being reactive I learned to be with my soul and nature as one and grew compassion for others. Grace has also showed up :) Right now I am a student of meditation and consciousness under Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield and I am aspiering to offeer you everything that I have learned and learning.
