Little aluminum job for High Tide ProWash Services in Bluffton, SC. We went out on-site and fabricated a couple of aluminum brackets in order to mount new water filters to the skid in one of their trucks. 🤑🤑

Once the brackets were laid out we welded them in place and drilled holes for the two smaller filters to be mounted in sequence.

All said and done, the job came out clean, and we have yet another happy customer!

A smaller job we completed recently for a BBQ food truck customer. We relocated his large smoker from his old trailer onto his brand new one. After cutting holes in the floor to locate the smoker and welding pads in place to affix it to the trailer frame, we went the extra mile to cover the holes with plywood and new diamond plate. We then finished it up by re-caulking all seams and floor trim for a clean, finished look.

We haven’t posted in quite some time, but here’s one we knocked out recently.

A relatively simple job, locating/welding mounting plates for I-beams that are being used in a custom paint booth facility at Gulfstream Savannah.

Here’s a recently completed project.

We got a call for an emergency dredge spud repair. The dredge crew sheared this spud off while operating along the Savannah river. We were on-site as soon as the spud arrived back on land to begin the repair.

Once on land, we had to torch cut the bent section out of the spud, and put a heavy bevel on both halves of 14” diameter 3/4” thick pipe. After that it was time for fit up. This posed its own challenges due to being on very uneven ground and dealing with long, very heavy, slightly bent sections of pipe. Once the fit-up was complete we then ran a root using
MIG .045 ER70-S6 wire. Following that, we ran a 1/8” 7018 hot pass and filled it all the way out to the cap using .045 Lincoln Outershield 71M dual-shield flux core wire.

We worked late into the night on this one to make sure that the customer could be back on the river as soon as possible. All-in-all, the finished piece came out pretty clean, and we have yet another happy customer!

Another project we knocked out recently!

We were tasked with fabricating a jet pipe on a barge/demo site for blasting bridge piles with high pressure water in order to remove them from the river bed.

The jet pipe is over 100ft in length and will be used to blast bridge piles at 60ft below the river bed.

This one was a fun project, especially getting to work out on the water for a day!

Two of many bag rack repairs that we’ve recently completed for Savannah Terminals.

We were tasked with removing the old/damaged bolt-up brackets on the bag racks and replacing them with heavier/reinforced brackets to withstand the beating that these things go through day after day.

Overall, they came out pretty nice, and we made another happy customer!

We finally got this one all finished up! 🤑🤑

The last part of the project was to cut out new waist panels to fill in the missing wall sections around the deck. We made templates for both sides, hand torch cut 1/4” plate, welded in place, and blended it all in nicely.

Additionally, we hand cut custom winch cable hangers to go on the outsides of both push knee boxes for operators to hang winch cables when not in use.

Overall, we’re very satisfied with how this one turned out, and we’ve got another hapoy customer!

Another step complete on this project. We made steps using 1/2” rebar for the push-knee boxes, and added grab handles on top to allow operators to climb onto the boxes safely in order to rig up to another vessel. 👌🏼👌🏼

We added a piece of 1/2” thick channel across the horizontal face of the boat to provide a large surface area for pushing vessels on the river.

We finished fully welding out channel onto the faces of both push-knees being built for this customer’s tug boat. Over 500 inches worth of weld on these guys! Ran a 6010 root and 1/8” 7018 weave on the cover pass. 🤑🤑

We’re out here turnin’ and burnin’! 🤑🤑🤑

Both push-knee support boxes are now fully welded out and ready to be positioned onto the deck of the customer’s tug boat.

These boxes are a ton of welding. Roughly 2,000 inches worth of continuous welds between the two boxes and lots more to go upon installing them on the boat.

We are running .045 Lincoln Outershield Fluxcore wire on most of this project to make the process as efficient as possible.

John Deere 650K dozer blade repair and root rake mounting bracket installation complete! 🤑🤑

This one turned out to be a fairly major job that involved replacing entire sections of cover plate on the backside of the blade, performing crack repairs on the blade face, and modifying/installing custom mounting brackets onto the top of the blade for attaching a root rake!

Some pics of an emergency repair job we completed for a big site prep customer of ours on a job site in Hardeeville, SC.

The first small job consisted of welding in place a sensor bracket inside a small cavity of a CAT 390F excavator.

The second repair was performed on a weld separation, causing a leak, in one of the tanks of a concrete spreader truck.
