Great time last night hosting our summer interns at the Savannah Bananas. Having these guys on the team reminds us why we started in this business and love what we do!

Originally built in 1872, The William Baker House at 612 Drayton Street served as the home for the Georgia Medical Society starting in 1914. In its next chapter, this 11,000 SF historic building will undergo a thoughtful renovation for the Savannah College of Art and Design. The renovation combines appropriate restoration and renovation of the historic fabric of the building, combined with modern systems, technology, and life safety measures.

612 Drayton Street is another well-planned project in a long line of adaptive reuse success stories for SCAD. We are honored to take part this special historic project.

June 6-9, West Construction attended the AGC Georgia Annual Convention and was pleased to bring home two Awards: The AGC Corporate Safety Award recognizing the company’s exemplary safety record and the First Place Build Georgia Award for the Renovation of Regina Coeli Hall at the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist.

Today a very special American flag was added to the West Construction office. Special thanks to Bill Mock our Director of Operations who has flown this flag at many significant job sites during his tenured career.

Bill is a talented carpenter and hand-carved the wooden flag as a gift to the company.

Bill has over 50 years of experience in commercial construction and has built or renovated many of Savannah’s most iconic buildings.

Placing this flag in our downtown office location is an honor. 🇺🇸

5 of our superintendents recently received the AGC Ron Amerson Supervisor Award. The award is given out annually by AGC GA to recognize outstanding performance and dedication throughout the year.

This 100,000 SF concrete tilt wall facility is the new headquarters for Savannah Distributing, one of Savannah’s oldest companies. The state of the art conveying and cooling system lead the industry in advances.

St. Francis Xavier School was a new construction 30,000 SF K-8 school located in the heart of downtown Brunswick on Hanover Park. Partnering to develop a thoughtful plan for the construction and the community despite logistical challenges of working in an active and congested neighborhood resulted in a successful design and integration both logistically and architecturally. The traditional architecture features masonry and cast-stone combined with mid-century elements of the historic St. Francis Xavier campus.

West Construction is honored to play a part in the Enmarket Charity Classic benefitting the 200 Club of the Coastal Empire and Make-a-Wish Georgia. This year over $270,000 was raised bringing the total to $1million since inception for our community. ⛳️

12 competitors. 153 pounds lost in 40 days. The 4th annual WCC weight loss challenge was a success!

West Construction Company has received the prestigious Build America Award for the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist Regina Coeli Hall at AGC’s Annual Convention in San Diego, California.

West Construction has received 7 Build Georgia awards since inception in 2014 however this is West’s first Build America Award.

This special project was a collaboration of a team of experts from Sottile and Sottile, Tharpe Engineering, Smith and Vandenbulck as well as many local and nationally recognized talented tradespeople who came together to make this project a success.

West Construction was proud to visit Career Day at Hesse Elementary. The students asking the right questions and learning is the best part. Thank you for having us. Go Bears!

Today the groundbreaking was held and we are honored to play a part in this small businesses dream becoming reality.

30,000 man hours of labor so far and rapidly approaching dry-in. A perfect time to stop and thank our subcontractors for their hard work to keep this fast-moving project on-schedule. Great work guys!

Known as a hostage negotiator commander, author, international keynote speaker, and consulting business negotiator - West Construction was proud to host Dan Oblinger from LeaderCraft as our 2024 annual company speaker.

We participated in a ½ day class on active listening and learned an incredible amount. Thank you Dan for your visit!

The Tybee Island Marine Science Center, completed in 2020, combined 4 different structure types with unique architecture. The complex structure and interior systems were carefully vetted and sequenced to expedite construction and minimize errors in the field. The building features post tensioned concrete framing, structural wood framing, structural steel framing, and impact rated curtain wall glazing to provide 270 degree panoramic views from the facility’s eastern flank.

Located just off President’s Street, the new 21K SF Downtown East Office building is under construction, and our team is hard at work on the building’s foundations.

This 3-story class-A office building is constructed from structural steel with detailed brick, cast stone and will house some of Savannah’s most notable companies.

Beautiful morning at Savannah Country Day School for the ribbon-cutting of the Livingston Hall Waters Learning Support Center.

This special project was a complete renovation of one of original buildings on campus after the school relocated from Forsyth Park in 1955.

West Construction held its 4th Annual Company Christmas Sporting Clays Tournament at Forest City Gun Club. Congratulations to Team Drew Albach and David Propp who took home the coveted Santa trophy and won First Place.

Enmarket and Bethesda Academy, both prominent organizations with century-plus histories in Savannah, Ga., have entered into an innovative agreement that will bring a new Enmarket store and a Bethesda Welcome Center to the Skidaway Island area, providing sustainable funding support for Bethesda Academy.

West Construction is proud to build the new development for Enmarket, benefitting Bethesda and the area’s residents.
