Sourcing for our last 10 young men for back to school clothing.
We are in need of new/ gently used sweats, hoodies, long sleeve pullover shirts. 6 of the teens are size L, 4 are size XL. Message us! Will pick up. TY❣️

Yesterday we received 51 clothing requests for back to school 🫨. We are in need of the following if you can help!

- sweatpants in all sizes (especially teen)
- diapers size 7 (for a student with a physical disability)
- size 5XL clothing
-diabetic socks

All clothing can be dropped off or mailed to 7 Arrow Lane Sayville and donations can be made on our website. TY❣️

1. We are fulfilling a request from BOCES for children of 30 families in need and are in need of the following items new or gently used (and washed!):
- 6 Men’s sweatpants size 3XL
- 3 Men’s tshirts size 3XL
- 2 Men’s Jeans size 3XL
- 2 Men’s causal long sleeves size XL
- Any Men’s Rangers (NHL) shirt size L
- 2 Men’s Jeans size 32x30
- 3 Men’s casual long sleeve shirts size M
- 2 Men’s sweatshirts size M
- 2 Men’s sweatpants size XL
- 3 Men’s causal long sleeves size L

2. Make a monetary donation to help us purchase clothing for those in need.

Our local Boces has reached out to ask for help for 5 special needs young men in need of large size clothing. We are asking for new or gently used casual clothing in sizes Mens XL & 3XL. Will pick up!Thank you❣️

Know a Starbucks employee? ☕️ Applying to grants to help us fund a volunteer/storage center. Starbucks has one, but a nonprofit has to be nominated by an employee. Please share our story! TY❤️

We are in need of a larger storage/work space for the growing number of children local agencies have been asking us to help! Around 500 square feet. Anyone with knowledge of extra warehouse/retail space to share? We can help with the cost!

We are assisting a family that just lost their home due to a fire. If anyone has Men’s size Medium clothing they can donate for a 15 year old boy please let us know, ASAP!

Today we close a chapter of our Starfish story as we say goodbye to Collins Ave, due to the imminent sale of the building.

We'd like to award the Golden Starfish to everyone who helped make our mission a reality thus far!

We cannot thank Jennifer, Robert, David, Adrienne, and the UUGSB community enough for sponsoring our first home. Because of their generosity we were able to assist 930 children with 19,200 articles of clothing over these past 5 years!

To those who supported us from the start, Sr. Lisa, Amanda, Christine, Taylor, Linda, Ronnie, Janet, Kathy, Debra, you will forever be a part of Starfish! Just as important are those who only recently joined us, & are taking Starfish to new places, Julie, we're ready!

To our many volunteers whose caring hands beautifully packaged each child's blue bag over the years, we are so thankful for you!
