The Community and Cultural Events Committee is proud to sponsor "The Gilded Age" presented by Dean Christopher Brellochs. This presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, October 26th, at noon in the Carl B. Taylor Auditorium.
Dr. Christopher Brellochs portrayed composer/conductor John Knowles Paine in episode 4 of Julian Fellowesβ HBO series The Gilded Age and assisted the production team with the historic accuracy of the scene. A preeminent scholar on music of the Gilded Age, Brellochs has lectured and performed internationally and in historic mansions including Rosecliff, Lyndhurst, Olana, Montgomery Place, Crawford House, and Boscobel. He created a related documentary series with excerpts available at www.youtube.com/cbrellochs and maintains βMusic of the Gilded Ageβ Facebook and Instagram pages where he shares his research.

Join Caroline Buff, the Research & Instruction Librarian, for a discussion about food allergies and insensitivities as well as living with Crohn's, Celiac Disease, or Diverticulitis. There will be allergen-free snacks available!

Native Americans have long criticized the inaccuracies and harmful narratives of Columbus' legacy that credited him with his "discovery" of the Americas when Indigenous people were there first."
