CIVIL SERVICE COMPETITIVE - this will be a provisional appointment . Candidates will be
required to take the Payroll Audit Clerk examination when offered by Civil Service.
Qualifications:
● Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered two-year college or
university with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a
related field and one year experience in maintaining financial accounts and records, six
months of which shall have involved payroll auditing or preparation; or
● Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and
three years of experience as outlined in (A) above, six months of which shall have
involved payroll auditing or preparation; or
● An equivalent training and experience as defined by A and B above.
Hours : 7:45 am - 4:15 pm
