Fabulous news!

We’ve hired TWO very talented groomers and can begin rescheduling clients! We are SO excited about this because we will be FULLY staffed going forward. Thank you to all our loyal clients who have stood by patiently and been understanding while we had to deal with some unexpected changes. Running a small business isn’t easy, but we’re lucky to have such amazing clients who are so supportive of us. That’s what makes it so worth it.

We will be reaching out over the next several business days to reschedule clients. Some upcoming appts may need to be rerouted until the new groomers start, but we will be able to get everyone in going forward. Clients are welcome to text us to reschedule, however, be patient, and we have over 150 appts to take care of and our receptionist Ted hasn’t been feeling well, so we’re a little backed up.

Thank you again, to everyone who understood our position and rode this storm out with us. Most everyone was patient and understanding, it means so much to us. We look forward to this next chapter.

Quick message for anyone who’s appointments we’ve recently had to cancel due to a groomer leaving prior to her notice given…we have a groomer coming to interview next week and it seems promising. We hope to be in touch to reschedule everyone soon. We have not forgotten about any of you, we promise. Our clients mean the world to us-we promise we’re doing everything we can ❤️ We will keep everyone updated, but please be patient with us. Thanks so much for understanding!

Good morning! We hope everyone had a great time celebrating the 4th! 🇺🇸

We are going to Verizon today to get a new phone for the salon, the one we have is ancient because I’ve been avoiding doing this for two years! I know that sometimes messages get lost in the shuffle. If we do not respond, please try us again later!

Also, like many others right now, unfortunately we are having staffing issues. We have had to cancel many appts due to an untimely departure from a groomer, but we are working to get everyone taken care of if we can (some larger breeds are being referred out). If you need to cancel your appt with us, please understand that right now we can not reschedule. We are using any canceled appt spots to get clients in that we had to cancel on. We’re also working some extra days to try to accommodate more. Please be patient with us, we are trying to make sure everyone’s taken care of, but we have to be careful to not burn out our staff. I just wanted to post here so folks know we’re doing our best. 🐾

Good morning everyone!

We have a change we need to make customers aware of. Please take a moment to read for a detailed explanation and contact me directly with any questions. This only applies to some folks, not everyone.

As everyone is well aware, inflation has been in full force lately!! There have been many challenges, but like many other small businesses, we’re adapting and working through it in the best way we can.

In the beginning of each calendar year, we do a cost of living increase to our hourly salon rate. We increased our hourly rate this year to $77 for small breeds and $88 per hour for large breeds, $94 giant breeds. These general hourly rates help us determine the cost of each groom, however, the products used, temperament of each pet, and other factors determine final cost. (Please note that pricing is the actual time your pet is being worked on and does not include downtime between grooming).

Most clients are already priced at the above hourly rates, so for example, if a doodle takes 1.5 hours of time to physically groom between bathing, hand drying, brushing and haircut time, the approximate price would be $132. (Most large doodles take a minimum of 1.5-2 hours for a full groom).

However, some “original clients” from 2019 and early 2020 were priced at a much lower hourly rate when we opened and to try to be fair, we did not increase the hourly rate as much, as to avoid a severe jump in pricing. Unfortunately, with the rapidly rising costs due to pretty extreme inflation, we are now having to make sure everyone is priced at the same hourly shop rate. What this means is if a pup is at a lower hourly rate, we will be adjusting the rate so everyone is priced the same. This is mostly applicable to large breed haircut clients who take extended periods of time to groom.

I hope this explanation helps everyone. We are trying to be as fair in pricing as we can, but unfortunately, small businesses ownership is being challenged to the core. Please remember before getting upset that everything has increased, and in most cases, there’s no warning. We’re trying hard to be reasonable and adapt to these challenges.

For all of you who have seen the post about the golden doodle who was found in Scituate that no one has claimed, he came to see us today. Here is his transformation. All I can say is someone will be really lucky to adopt this boy. He so so kind, agreeable and a genuinely good dog who just needs some love. I hope he finds his forever home. ETA-for adoption, please do not contact us. He is at SAS and they handle adoptions. I just wanted to update all the clients who have been tagging me in his post-he’s a wonderful dog. ❤️
