✨November 1 of each year celebrates another year that Steamtown Hot yoga has been helping people transform their lives with yoga.
✨This year marks 17 years since we opened our doors. It also marks 2 years since our change in ownership to Christine Baron .
✨She has transitioned our studio to our new location at and has been an integral part of SHY since 2009 when she attended her first yoga class at the studio.

We will hold our class outdoors on the lawn by the fire pits. Make sure to dress in layers, wear your sneakers, and bring a mat. Weights and exercise balls will be used for class and are available at the studio. Come to the desk to check in before going to the lawn area.

Slow Flow and Balance is a combination of Somatic Yoga and Qigong Fusion, this class emphasizes the fluidity and harmony between the two practices, highlighting the integration of movement, breath, and mindful awareness.
This 60 minute class blends the mindful, body centered movements of somatic yoga with the flowing energy-balancing practices of QIgong. The goal is to cultivate body awareness, release tension, and enhance flow of energy throughout the body. It will leave participants feeling grounded, rejuvenated, and balanced while promoting relaxation and vitality.
All levels class, no prior experience needed.
Practiced in a non-heated environment, this class is perfect for everyone.

Join us for a two-hour, fun and explorative special class in which we will dive into mechanics, alignments, and other nuances of the 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises known as Bikram Yoga….the foundation of our Hot 60 and Hot 90 classes❤️
🔥In this interactive class, we will move through the sequence together, pausing along the way to explore details of the postures with opportunities for individual adjustments and personal Q&A.
This special class is absolutely suitable for all levels, from newcomer to seasoned practitioner.

We also have our regular scheduled classes all weekend long, including our Sunday night candlelit Yin…perfect class for our Steamtown Marathon runners to end their race day🏃♂️

✨Attention….we have a Yin Yoga training at the studio coming up in collaboration with West Wind Yoga Retreat.
We are looking forward to our first teacher training at the new studio.
🤩 Our Yin Yoga 20 Hour Teacher Training is Nov 2 & 3 at SHY’s new space in Lace and Registration is open!
✅ All levels are welcome—no prior yoga teacher trainings or yin experience required. Registered yoga teachers will recieve 20 hours of YA Continuing Ed.
We build from the basics, so just be open to learning and experiencing something new. This immersion weekend is appropriate for anyone with a love of yoga who craves deeper insight into yoga body mechanics, Traditional Chinese Medicine in relation to yoga and the major meridians, and how this knowledge can enhance your yoga practice and happy yoga lifestyle. Part lecture, part practicum, and of course group discussion and questions are always encouraged.
I’m teaching a Sunday Yin at SHY in early October — find me and register on the SHY app. I’ll be available for any questions you may have about the Yin YTT Weekend.
