In her 50’s, Debby struggled with weight gain, strength & power loss, slower times — despite working out and training like she had for decades.
In 2024, we made these changes that helped her drop 15 lbs, gain speed and power, and feel like her kickass self again.
1. Sprint Interval Training. I reduced her “grey zone” cardio and substituted 1-2 high-quality SIT intervals/week
2. Despite training for an Ironman triathlon which can be up to 17 hours long, we put a big emphasis on strength training with heavier weights, at 2x/wk
3. Eliminated dairy and gluten from her diet. Focused on higher protein intake throughout the day and specifically around her workouts in combination with high quality carbs
4. She started MRT. I suggested she work with a Naturopath who specializes in perimenopause and menopausal women. After doing her bloodwork, she started MRT and it has attributed to her success.
5. Mindset reset. It’s easy to lose your mojo when you work hard and don’t see results. It changes your internal talk and you start to believe you are just “too old” to feel and do well. The first step to mindset reset is believing that making the changes listed above can work! It’s not easy - it takes discipline. But when you fully commit, you reset brain chemistry and mindset gets even stronger and stronger.
You don’t have to be an athlete to implement these five steps. Every single woman can benefit from these THRIVE principles. You can feel like YOU again!

Proud coach shoutout to my inspiring client, Kelly. At age 40 she was diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer forcing her to get a double mastectomy and go through months of treatment that wreaked havoc on her physical and mental health.
Through it all, Kelly never gave up on herself. Many people would’ve stopped working with a coach. Stopped working out. Stopped trying. Not Kelly.
We worked together to navigate Kelly’s new no-estrogen body. That meant implementing new training & nutrition methods to help her regain muscle, cardiovascular fitness, and optimize performance without over-stressing her body and mind.

When I created Live Your Truth Women, my mission was to inspire women to be bold, brave, and badass. My mission is still the same, but my focus has shifted on empowering women in pre and post menopause to look and feel their best.
For decades women were told weight gain, fatigue, strength loss, and feelings of “blah” were inevitable with age. NOT TRUE.
I know from personal experience and from 30 years of training women, we CAN reduce body fat, improve muscle quality, build bone density, boost energy and reduce all negative symptoms of pre and post menopause. All it takes is adjusting how we exercise and eat based on your hormonal phase of life.
THRIVE WOMEN FITNESS is based on the most current scientific research. This isn’t a fad or a quick fix. This is a new mindset and new lifestyle where we embrace building lean muscle as the key to quality life longevity.

I get it. I’ve been in the fitness industry my whole life and I love exercising… most days. Just like you, there are plenty of days I would rather take a nap or blow off my workout because I’m simply not motivated. I call this being on the struggle bus 🚌 🚌 🚌
That’s why I commit to meet people to run, lift, cycle, swim, and all of it. I know that if I have an accountability partner, I will do the most important thing… Show up. Once I start, the hard part is over.

She didn’t ask anyone for advice.
She didn’t read a book on how to let go.
She didn’t search the scriptures.
She just let go.
She let go of all of the memories that held her back.
She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.
She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.
She didn’t promise to let go.
She didn’t journal about it.
She didn’t write the projected date in her Day-Timer.
She made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper.
She didn’t check the weather report or read her daily horoscope.
She just let go.
She didn’t analyze whether she should let go.
She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter.
She didn’t do a five-step Spiritual Mind Treatment.
She didn’t call the prayer line.
She didn’t utter one word.
She just let go.
No one was around when it happened.
There was no applause or congratulations.
No one thanked her or praised her.
No one noticed a thing.
Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go.
There was no effort.
There was no struggle.
It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad.
It was what it was, and it is just that.
In the space of letting go, she let it all be.
A small smile came over her face.
A light breeze blew through her.
And the sun and the moon shone forevermore…
