If you want to be a graphic design brat like us, here are a few key phrases to remember:

💚 Kern: To adjust the spacing between letters. It's all about fine-tuning the distance between characters to make your text look evenly spaced.

💚 Crop: Where the printer will trim your image. This defines the final dimensions of your design after excess edges (bleeds) are trimmed away.

💚 CMYK: Print colors Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and blacK. These are the primary colors used in process printing to create a wide range of colors.

💚 Bleed: Where your image extends beyond the trim/crop line. This ensures that there are no unprinted or white edges in your final product.

💚 Slug: Non-printing document information. This area often contains details like job notes, date, and color information that won't appear in the final print.

Yesterday, I had the chance to explore for the first time and saw some incredible pieces of Seattle’s history.

On the top level, they were featuring a vintage Pride poster exhibit 🏳️‍🌈

From screen printing and lithography to digital printing, the exhibit showcased various print methods and design styles, dating back to the mid-70s.

Seeing the intersection of design, print, and important cultural moments in the LGBTQIA+ world was a cool experience. These posters are not just pieces of art—they’re pieces of history.

We’re thrilled to share one of our recent projects- the 2024 Ticket Book! 📚🌿

This printed book is your ultimate guide to their yearly tour, featuring garden descriptions, sponsor and non-profit info, a stamp page, and so much more.

If you attended the tour, we hope you enjoyed using the ticket book as much as we enjoyed creating it!

This is the second year in a row we've helped with the design, and every year it's so fun to work on—the beautiful, colorful flowers really inspire creativity 🎨
