Animal references can be powerful graphic visuals in and . As living beings they can give a brand instant vitality, relatability, and sense of wonder. Here are 2 recent works of a logo & illustration leveraging animal references. For the Oso Medical logo, the client wanted a bear connotation since “oso” is the Spanish word for “bear". The solution became a bear with a raised paw –an inspirational pose which also doubled as a circular O-shape. The deer & bird illustration was created for promoting West Seattle’s annual holiday events. A range of festive connotations were explored, but in these unstable times, it was a good opportunity to simply focus on the magic of the season. The peaceful interaction of the deer and bird remind us what’s most important –we can all be pals, no matter our differences.

Horsepower recently launched the new Galvanize website. A truly collaborative process, the website launch perfectly coincided with the company’s internal reorganization –positioning their multiple subsidiary product brands under one parent brand.

Earlier this year we helped the awesome folks at Barbell Rescue release their new product to market. They’ve got an interesting accessory that’s poised to fill a niche in the sports & fitness industry. We created its distinctive and durable , doubling as a storage case, appropriately resonating with their brand.

After two lonnng years off, Summer Fest is back! Starting this weekend. Wish we could say the same about the bridge 🤪 work.

About a year ago, we created this logo for . And for whatever reason, it never posted to our social channels. But seeing it again with new eyes still evokes the same feelings as when it was first created. That timeless simplicity. The foundation of a solid and lasting brand.

Our and work for a couple of emerging medical companies in the Bay Area. Their bold and powerful names sparked a lot of creativity in the process. Many ideas were explored, but these were the resounding favorites.

Challenging times call for creative thinking. Now like never before. Thankfully, it’s what we do. And while branding & design might not be topping anyone’s priority list at the moment, we are fully open for business. Fortunately, we’re able to keep things running from our homes. It’s been super inspiring to see all the creativity emerging lately as people find new ways to get through these crazy times. We’re looking forward to coming out of this, no doubt with some better ideals and habits as a result. Here’s to a speedy next 30 days!
