The 458 has a terrific layout and was built in the Shin Fa yard in Taiwan in the early and mid-1980s. The finish is excellent but the 458 is hard to find, because only 31 were built. Now’s your chance!

Had a great day aboard this boat the other day when moving her to Port Townsend. A very cool sailboat.

A customer sent me this earlier today from his solo circumnavigation of Vancouver Island last summer. A beautiful setting for a gorgeous boat. The photo was taken in Klaskish Basin just North of Brooks Peninsula.

Just arrived on Salt Spring Island this morning. I’m up with a customer who is buying a Cabo Rico 38, and we’re doing the survey and sea trial today. More photos to come! Should be a good day.

The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful....

Surveyed a 1999 Pacific Seacraft 37 in Portland this week at Schooner Creek Boat Works. They were very accommodating and have a great facility.

Insane sunrise last week when delivering Maverick to Seattle. Early morning watches can be tough at times, but a hot cup of coffee with this view makes everything worth it.

I spent the evening in Poulsbo shooting interior photos on this Grand Banks 49. Her cabin is so cozy on a blustery November day. I’m a big fan of this one. I can’t wait to deliver her this week.

Got third place in our division!! Our best finish in this race so far. Beat the fourth place boat by 21 seconds over the whole weekend! Feeling good as we head back to Anacortes.

THIS IS URGENT! is trying to take over 1.2million square feet of Lake Union for a dedicated runway and make it off limits to everyone else. Lake Union has always been the heart of Seattle’s maritime culture and belongs only to the people and not a private corporation. My friends are undertaking the Vic-Maui in their Tartan 41. Can't wait to follow their progress.

Quick rundown on Tartan 41 Thundorca; she was actually a starter in the 1978 Vic Maui as "Thunder" not a finisher, however. She has been in the PNW since. Scott Kanlyn has heard rumors of a mutiny regarding peaches.

We've done 6 Swiftsures, we're a Round the County veteran, a few Northern Centuries, and all the Duck Dodges down here in Seattle (Ultimate Beer Can Race).

Best way to describe us crew is we are here to have a good time. We love sailing and having fun. Complete not Compete is the motto. She is an old boat and has always gotten us home. Known to have more beer than anyone else.

We are racing in honor of one of our crew members who passed away this last spring. And Seattle Yacht Club is our club.

First day of November brings us a stunning sunrise over Puget Sound. Days like this make me want to bundle up and go sailing!
