Our next student event at SJA will feature Brazilian vocalist !! We can't wait for Adriana to perform for our students and walk us through using percussion as vocalists. Through her production company Giordano Productions and her work with , .quarteto & , Adriana advocates for women in music everywhere and has become a pillar in the Brazilian music scene of Seattle, bringing Brazilian, Latin, and other global music to the northwest 🇧🇷👏🏽🎶

Meet our Tuesday night band!! This ensemble is guided by instructor , and their first performance at SJA was inspiring! Over twelve weeks this group put together and presented a set of tunes and are now on their second quarter together. Can't wait to see/hear what they do next 😊

We like to have fun 😁 Our first youth recital was a big hit, and we're getting ready for the next one! One thing about teaching is while students are learning from their instructors, we as instructors are continuously inspired by the tenacity and excitement of our students. It's awesome to see and celebrate how far they've come in their lessons!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

We had a great time supporting this year's Jazz, Rags, and Blues Festival put on by the EMTA! 🙌🏽Over two days Mack taught nine "Boogie Woogie Workshops" and Dylan gave a classical style masterclass w/ feedback for 80+ students. We love participating in events like these where we can get out there and connect with our community through music 😊🎶💙 Hit us up if you'd like to collaborate on an event!

Seattle Jazz Academy would like to congratulate long time student Ethan on his ACCEPTANCE and SCHOLARSHIP to the Berklee Summer Music Program! Ethan will leave for six weeks during the summer to study intensively with some of the best music instructors in the world. Congratulations Ethan! We cannot wait to see all of the places that music will take you!

Seattle Jazz Academy is happy to welcome pianist and instructor Dylan Hayes to the team. The Dylan Hayes Electric band will be performing April 21st, 8:30pm at Bad Bar (in Queen Anne).
The Dylan Hayes Electric Band featuring LA based musicians Nicole McCabe on alto sax and Logan Kane on bass. This is an official SJA recommended concert! Check it out!
