Junction Dental is looking for a wonderful Dental Assistant for our office in West Seattle. We are a small solo Dentist with 2x RDHs practice that has consistent patient volume with a focus on digital dentistry, evidence based techniques and efficient but personalized care that supports our community values in a relaxed environment.

Junction Dental is looking for an amazing Dental Hygienist to join our busy office in West Seattle!

Whether you are new or experienced, we have immediate availability for PT (1days/wk on Mondays), and transitioning to FT within 2 weeks for the right candidate. Our patient hours are 7am - 4pm | M-TH. We use Dentrix/Dexis/Weave as well as Digital Sensors, Nomad mobile Xray devices, Cavitron 300s, Nupro Freedoms. We love to invest in our Hygienists' instruments to keep you comfortable, effective and efficient. We are a 5 OP practice, solo dentist and have one FT experienced Hygienist for great mentoring potential.

If you are energetic, proactive and have great patient / team communication skills, we’d love to meet you!

Junction Dental is looking for an amazing Dental Hygienist to join our growing office in West Seattle. We have immediate available part-time opportunities (1-2days/wk) for the right candidate, with the goal of transitioning to full-time in Oct / Nov. Our patient hours are 7am - 4pm M-TH. We use Dentrix/Dexis as well as digital sensors + Nomads, Cavitron 300s, Nupro Freedoms and the CEREC system. We love to invest in our Hygienists' instruments to keep you comfortable, effective and efficient. If you are energetic, proactive and have great patient / team communication skills, we’d like to meet you.

Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures
Take X-rays or dental impressions
Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Monitor supplies
Skills

Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or similar role
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
Diploma in Dental Hygiene; Master’s is a plus
Valid licence to practice

Position Details:
• Average of 8 patients per day
• Cleanings / Perio Maint – 60-90min ave
• NP exams + cleanings – 120min ave
• S/RP – 90min ave
• Assigned 1 OP to work from and maintain a consistent setup (1 overflow OP shared by both Hygienists as needed)
• Schedule – 7am - 4pm | M-TH
