Christmas is almost here! If you're still interested in some Kenny merch, check out the website. I'm not Amazon, so it might wind up as a New Year's present, but I'll do my best!

I was playing around with Ken's Korean Market Triptych and am trying out a series of canvas wraps featuring the work. I think they came out pretty well! They're 15" x 6" so they're a little more manageable for the home!
And if you're going to have lobster, you need lemons, right? I printed some canvas wraps of Ken's Fruit Frieze series that might be perfect for a kitchen!
I've had lobster tea towels for a while, but recently had them printed on white fabric, instead of unbleached muslin. I think they show off the design a teeny bit better!

I love these framed tulips! Check them out on the Kenneth Showell Artworks website and bring a little bit of art into your home for the holidays!

I did a craft market in November and added these tiny little 4"x6" framed pieces of Kenny's work to the roster. I'll post some more over the next few days, but check out the website if you want to see them all now! Available in a white or black frame. https://www.kennethshowell.com/store/small-4x6-framed-prints
Hey Y'all! Last year I talked about making a calendar featuring Ken's artworks and I actually did it this year! I'm a little late to the Christmas season, but check out the Kenneth Showell Webpage to check out the calendar!

Oh dear. It's been waaaaaaaay to long! To catch you up: Unexpected Legacy closed on September 30th. Grand Image added new Kenny paintings to their collection. I had a table at the Wonder Collective's Vendor Market at the Labour Temple during October's Belltown Artwalk. Now I'm getting ready for my first big craft fair on November 18th and a show at Cafe Dolce in Shoreline in January. Busy! Be sure to sign up for the Kenneth Showell Artworks newsletter. Now, back to sharing more of Ken's work with you all.
Thank you one and all! Unexpected Legacy was a success in so many ways. It's been quite a ride. Stay tuned! There's more to come!
Ken wants YOU to come to see his work. This is the last day for Unexpected Legacy at Slip Gallery between 12-6pm.
Closing Celebration tonight from 6pm-9pm featuring live music and treats! You gotta come see the show before it's too late!
I've been incredibly grateful to sell Ken's work during the run of the show. There's nothing more gratifying than knowing his paintings will bring joy and color and light into someone's space. These three still need a home!
The show closes on Saturday, September 30th. Get down here!!!
Look at all these amazing fruits and flowers!
I've decided to sell some original pastels and watercolors at the show, too. You want one, you know you do!!!
Talkin' about Ken and his 6 Degrees of Separation in front of the Lyrical Abstracts
I've been remiss in posting about Unexpected Legacy because it's been BUSY!! This is from the opening of the show, holding fantastic flowers sent by the Bothwell clan. Suddenly there's only one week left and it all ends on September 30th. It's been a great ride!
Come to The Artist's Estate, September 17th from 3pm-6pm (Talk starts around 3:30)
I will discuss my experience inheriting Ken's extensive art collection, serving as the jumping off point for a discussion about what ultimately happens to an artist's work. Although this is not a workshop, hopefully my story will allow attendees to engage in an honest conversation about how to ensure their work and their legacy lives on.
I'll be giving a talk, 6 Degrees of Separation, on Wednesday, September 13th from 6-9pm at Slip Gallery in Seattle (2301 1st Avenue) as part of Unexpected Legacy: Selected Works of Kenneth Showell (1939-1997).
I'll discuss my search to learn more about my biological father and figure out his place in the vibrant art scene of the 1960's and beyond. As his friend, painter Ronnie Landfield, told me, "Ken knew everybody." Come if you can!!!
Unexpected Legacy opened on September 6th and was part of the Belltown Artwalk on the 8th. Check out this wonderful video created by Films About Artists!
