Nearly 1.8 billion adults at risk of disease from not doing enough physical activity 07/02/2024

Communities can’t be healthy unless its older adults are! classes are strengthening people physically, emotionally and socially across the nation. How are you moving today?

New WHO report detailed the troubling current stats:

— 31% of the global population fails to meet minimum activity levels.
— 103 out of 197 countries are trending in the wrong direction.
— Physical inactivity is projected to rise to 35% by 2030.

Issuing a warning, the WHO previously said the health implications of inactivity will cost the world economy more than $27B annually between 2020–2030.

Nearly 1.8 billion adults at risk of disease from not doing enough physical activity New data show a worrying trend, with nearly one third (31%) of adults worldwide not meeting recommended levels of physical activity in 2022.
