A few weeks ago, I had to pleasure to attend, as well as, be the sponsor at the AZ Bar Conference. Great turnout. Well organized. Thought provoking seminars.
Even though it reached 114F outside, it was ‘cool’ to meet so many professionals that believe in the helping society with their legal matters.
Last week, I had the pleasure of attending the Intuit – Quick Books Conference in Vancouver. As you’d expect from Intuit it was another well organized event.
The keynote speaker was Chris Hadfield. He was the first Canadian to perform extravehicular activity in outer space; he’s flown two Space Shuttle missions, and also served as commander of the International Space Station. Great choice for a speaker.
It was also wonderful to reconnect with the Intuit team, as well as, friends and colleagues. I also always marveled at the cruise ships docked so close to the convention center, ready to take people to Alaska.
It was my first time in Omaha, and my first ABA Joint Conference featuring 3 groups: Solo/Small Firms; Young Lawyers; Law Practice. It was a wonderful to reconnect with friends, learn about industry trends and even catch a Duran Duran concert. All this in Omaha.
Recently, I had the honor of facilitating a workshop with Leaders and Managers at Advanced Self Storage. It was terrific to share the Marketing Framework tool within the Results Driven Business Coaching Framework, with such a dynamic group.
Everyone at the workshop was fully engaged, made excellent contributions, and deepened their relationships with their colleagues from all locations.
Additionally, each Manager left the event with a defined sales, marketing, and customer plan to help them surpass their goals as they help their clients with all their storage needs.

I had the great pleasure to present to the Seattle Incubators class of 2024. In working with lawyers, as well as, other professionals, I shared the 6 keys to building a profitable practice.
It was a dynamic group of attorneys and future leaders in the field of law. Thanks very much to Stan Perkins for extending the invitation.
It was Results Driven’s first ABA Tech show in Chicago. Wonderful conference. Most of the American Bar Associations - legal tech focus was understandably on AI. Informative sessions. Great hospitality, as usual, from Clio. Reconnected with friends and met new friends, as well. Couldn’t pass up the chance to also marvel at some of Chicago’s world-class architecture.
In a recent article I wrote for the JDT magazine (Journal For Dental Technology), I shared an idea that kids do so well, but adults struggle with. It’s Procrastinating.
To reduce procrastination, here’s 3 quick steps to follow.
1/ Money – identify how much money not taking action will cost you.
2/ Future Money Loss - look into the future, to guesstimate how much this will cost in lost revenue or profits
3/ Next Steps – I share that identifying the next few ‘small steps’ will put wind in your sails and get you on the right road to minimizing procrastination and get you better results
In this article that was published in the WALP Magazine, I shared one concept that frustrates many business professionals.
It’s probably impacted your business, as well.
It’s when one of your team members comes to you with a problem – yet, they don’t bring a solution.
To resolve this situation, as the leader, you have to set the expectations.
That is – they have to bring at least one solution to the problem.
If they don’t, they shouldn’t even bother you.
Waste your time.
It may be outside your comfort zone initially, however, when you adopt this concept, you’ll develop your team’s skills. Their confidence. Their creativity.
It’ll help you run a better business or department.

Had a terrific time at the Clio Conference. Superb event. Very well organized. Meet terrific group of attorney’s. Great line up of speakers sharing valuable ideas. After hours fun included going to the Grand Ol’ Opry and Luke Bryan’s bar.
Another well organized National Denturist Association (NDA) Conference in viva Las Vegas. Superb turn out. Lots of great speakers. Excellent conversations with owners and leaders on their future. Their growth plans, the impact of technology, as well as, how will their son/daughter take over the practice.
It was an educational and a well organized Solo & Small Firm Conference put on by WA State Bar. Glad to be a sponsor. It was wonderful to reconnect in person with clients, colleagues, and other professionals.
It’s easy to get overwhelmed in your business with so much stuff to do.
That’s why it’s terrific to gather a small group of professionals, in our Peer Group, to discuss their 1 Year Plan and 90 Day Goals.
It was another dynamic and interactive session, as we discussed plans, challenges, and enhancing their ‘opportunity mindset’ to get greater results.
In an article I wrote in the NW Landscape Magazine, I asked a question – Are You Growing As A Leader?
It’s a question that makes you ponder – doesn’t it?
Take a moment to think of one new skill or idea you’ve learned this year.
Have you shared this idea?
Did you implement it?
How can you take this new skill you’ve learned and make it a habit?
It was a pleasure, once again, to work with the leadership team at one of WA State’s premier company’s – Blackwood Builders Group.
It was an interactive, dynamic, and fun session. Leaders from numerous departments learned new skills to be even better equipped for today’s challenges and opportunities.
I wrote a recent article in the JDT Magazine that affects every business.
Too often you, and your team are doing the same work over and over again. You might call it many different names: ‘re-do’s; ‘reworks’; ‘revisions’.
Regardless of the name, it impacts your business. Lost time. Stress. No additional revenue because you have to do the work again.
And you’re probably not even aware of it - because you’re not tracking it.
Imagine if you could minimize the costs and stress of ‘reworks’ in your business? We’ll gladly show you how.
Very informative, educational, fun, and well-designed Get Connected Conference by QuickBooks. Great to see the Canadian team Intuit team, once again, as well as, meeting so many accounting professionals at the event.
A great conference, at a great location, reconnecting with so many great professionals. It was the Washington Denturist Association and Oregon State Denturist Association Joint Annual Conference, held at the scenic Skamania Lodge.
Enjoyed exhibiting, as well as, presenting at this year’s Wsdla ExecutiveOffice conference. I shared business building strategies in my presentation - 'Using Numbers to Gain Clarity and Confidence In Your Lab'. Great to see everyone in person again.
In my recent article, I share something that costs too many businesses a lot of money. Doing work over and over again.
It’s on page 44.. If you’d like a copy, (or you’re unable to log-in), I’ll gladly send you one.
It was the first landscape conference in 3 years, in person. It was superb. Well attended. Well organized. Great new venue. Lots of fun. And I was honored to be a speaker, once again, at the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals Conference.
It’s going to be another terrific conference. I’m honored to be speaking, once again at the Washington Association of Landscape Professionals Conference.
My new presentation focuses on the importance of knowing your numbers. When you know your numbers, you know your problems - and opportunities. It'll be wonderful to see everyone again since the last event!
It’s wonderful to speak at the OADL Conference, as well as, reconnect with so many friends in Portland. I presented how data and numbers can help each lab professional make better decisions. They can also help them to increase their profits and performance. Hanging out in the bar afterwards was so enjoyable and fun.
It was a record turnout at the National Denturist Association Conference in ‘viva’ Las Vegas. It’s always wonderful to be a presenter and share creative strategies - so every business owner can increase their results. It was terrific to reconnect with so many friends & colleagues. Partners in Association Management did a splendid job of coordinating the event.
I always greatly appreciate being invited back to present at a conference. I’m honored to be presenting at the Oregon Association of Dental Laboratories Conference in Portland. It’ll be wonderful to reconnect with everyone, as it’s been long.
It’s going to be a terrific conference. It’s been a few years since we gathered for the National Denturist Association National Conference. Additionally, I’m thrilled to be speaking, once again, at the event. My new presentation that I can’t wait to share is: A Framework for Making Important Decisions.
It was terrific once again to be one of the keynote speakers at the
Ledgers Canada National Conference. I’ve been coaching and working with their franchisees, one-2-one, for over a decade.
In fact, two of the franchisees I coach received terrific news. They won awards at the conference. One was awarded – Franchise of the Year. Another client was awarded Best Marketing & Communication.
I was very, very excited for each of them, as our work together, has paid dividends with increased revenue, profits and overall success.
It was a pleasure to be one of the sponsors at the recent Washington State Bar Association Solo & Small Business Conference. Informative and very well organized event.
In this article published in the JDT (Journal of Dental Tech), I shared a strategy that has helped my clients in over 30 industries. It’s focused on your team.
For a team to be highly engaged, focused, (and having fun) it’s beneficial when they have goals and a plan to get there. Not just any plan, however. An effective plan includes the top 5 goals for the year and breaks that down into 90-day goals.
When each team member knows their priorities, they’ll be able to benchmark their results. Know their successes. They’ll be more confident. Have more direction. More momentum.
And a final benefit is they’ll see themselves growing personally and professionally.
When making important strategic decisions, make sure they’re based on numbers or data.
As human beings, we’re emotional creatures. When you focus on numbers, it helps take emotion out of your decisions.
Good or bad, emotions influence our decisions. Having data, however, allows you to make a more strategic decision.

It was another interactive, fun, and beneficial Results-Driven Peer Group Meeting. This time the members were introduced to another one of the innovative one-page tools in our framework. This tool is called: The Opportunity Matrix.
The concept behind this tool is to tap into ‘opportunities’ with your existing clients.
As you’re already aware, rarely do your present clients buy all of your products or services. By following our framework members create their own matrix that will help them to not only deepen client relationships, it’ll help them grow their revenue, as well.
