Ballard Marine Service Inc.
A Mercury Marine Premier Dealer. Offering Mercury Marine Sales, Service, Parts, & Warranty
It’s that time of year, fall is in the air, rain is falling, and we’ve got a fire burning in the fireplace. Rumor has it if you could see a fire burning through this very window of the old Brekke Blacksmith Shop then you knew the whiskey was pouring. No word on the current status of the whiskey, but if you stop by the shop we do have some great deals on Mercury Outboards.

It's fun bringing new life into a great old classic. This Glasparr will now have many more years on the water
Our son inlaw started a mobile automotive detailing business. His first day went well, he made several contacts and booked his first job. A great day for sure! I hope he'll be branching out into boats as well, I'll keep you all posted on that.
We have this little gem for sale message or call for more info
I do believe I found the problem. I'm sure glad my customer has a deep love and long lasting relationship with his engine. We'll see if we can patch things up between the two of them. Nothing a new powerhead can't solve.
Beautiful fall day in the Nw
Still funny 😄
A great email from a customer, I had to share:
This is in damn good shape for being ripped off someone's boat... poor bu**ers. Good thing it sheared off as it is supposed to because it would have torn the whole stern off the poor fool's boat!
Funny part of finding it...
My friend and were zipping around in the run-about on the SE side of Bell Island when we slowed down because it was real shallow. We looked down and saw this in about 6-7 feet of water just before it was getting dark. We may have had a little whiskey before hand so my friend immediately stripped down and dove in after it. What we couldn't see from the surface was that it was nearly the whole outdrive! My friend had no shoes on and was getting all cut up on the bottom struggling to get this thing to the surface with me cheering him on. With bubbles streaming up from his nose and mouth as he raised it to the surface - it was too deep for him to get his head out - I reached over and grabbed the vertical shaft, not realizing how heavy it was. as he let go I took more of the weight and was sucked right over the side of the dingy after it all the way to the bottom! Fully clothed and everything! I wasn't about to let this bu**er go after watching my buddy struggle so much. Anyway, he was freezing and hopped back in the dingy where he threw me the painter line. I dove down and tied it on real quick-like and we hauled it up that way, finally landing it with much cheering and shivering.
Thought you'd get a kick out of the tale.
I'm thinking 400 bucks is reasonable as this is a super deal for the props from your end and I know its worth a lot more than that in parts.
I had no idea the concept of the personal watercraft came out of the 50's
Another repower project completed. I really enjoyed cleaning up the rigging on this one.
Another fun project!
Wrapping up this repower project. I sure like being able to take time to improve on the factory rigging.
Another fun project completed, removed a nice 60 and replaced it with a new 90, cleaned up the rigging and upgraded to hydraulic steering. This thing is sweet!
Just finished up this 1952 Penn Yan. It was a real honor to breathe new life into this beautiful boat
It's new engine time!
A great day to be working outside

Merry Christmas and happy holidays and a great new year!
When oil filter removal goes like this it's a good indicator of two things... it wasn't going to fall off and perhaps a tad too tight. Turning more than 3/4 turn after gasket contact causes this.
Actually one more thing... it's going to cost a little more
