🍁Mudfest is U Co-op's Autumn Extravaganza & Alumni Reunion🍂
Each year, students team up with their buddy from a different grade to craft the ultimate Zucchini Car and race it down the great ramp! 🏁🚗💨
🍎 We celebrate this annual tradition with a cider press & hot cider, yummy pies, a few games of Tug O' War over the Mud Pit, and of course, it wouldn't be Mudfest without the grand finale - embracing your inner child and diving headfirst into the mud! 💦😄
This is more than just an event; it's a journey back in time and an opportunity to make cherished memories with fellow U Co-opers and alumni. We're already looking forward to next year's Mudfest!

3rd-5th Grade Fall Trip to Orcas Island!
Another incredible year is in the books! We loved EVERY SINGLE MINUTE we shared with you, U-COOP Families. Have a safe and wonderful summer! See you in the fall! 🍂🍁🍂
One thing's for sure, they didn't have these kind of field trips in the 80s! U-Coop families participated in the annual 3-5 bike trip to Winthrop!
5th grade Architecture projects are U Co-op tradition.
This multi-disciplinary project culminates skills across subjects - literacy, math, science, and art. Our students built their houses based on client interviews and then researched locations and designs that fit their clients’ wish lists.
They created an architecture company (complete with a logo!) and wrote a brief about their clients, their wants, and the location of the property. In math class, they did measurements, blueprints, and model scaling. In science class, they used computer-aided design programs to turn their blueprints into 3D-printed models.
In art class, they put the finishing touches on their models, created interior sketches, and used perspective drawing skills. Finally, they presented their designs to the community.
Well done, fifth graders!
A big U Co-op thank you to State Treasurer Mike Pellicciotti for speaking to our 3rd-5th grade students! Your visit was a fantastic tie-in to our Social Studies units this year and connected our classroom learning with the real world in our state government. Thanks for answering our many questions about our Washington State treasury, finances, and our state government! Thanks, Treasurer Mike Pellicciotti !!
Our 3rd-5th grade Ultimate Frisbee teams are rocking their games and practices this season! We are working hard and being great sports as we learn new skills.
As our Fifth Graders near the end of their journey at U Co-op, we take time to connect, reflect, and grow on our Right of Passage Trip. We are so proud of you, Fifth Graders! We can't wait to see all the places you'll go on the next phase of your adventure.
Have you given someone flowers today?
