We wanted to provide notice to Washington State Clients, that King County has increased the Seattle Tax Rate beginning 4/1/2024. The new Tax Rate will be 10.35% as of April 1st. Friday Harbor, Olympia, Port Townsend, Thurston County and Whatcom County have all increased the tax rate as well beginning 4/1/2024. Here is a link to the WA Tax Rate Sheet for this quarter:

Don't overpay for your Documentation renewals!
Predatory online businesses are sending out reminders when expiration nears and are charging 2-3X the amount it actually costs to do it yourself through the Coast Guard's website. Documentation costs only $26 a year after initial sign-up fees have been paid, and re-documentation fees are only required if the vessel has been expired for over a month.
How do you know if you're on an official USCG site? Look for ".gov" or ".mil" at the end of the web address and a total of $26.00 for processing.
