OUR MISSION
Providing aid for vulnerable youth and those who support them, Little Mercies creates channels for simple kindness and distribution of essentials to ease the suffering of children living in the world’s harshest life conditions.
At times over the past three years, our little nonprofit has fed well over 12,000 displaced people a month in Thailand alone. Our focused work in Mae Sot is building a school and orphanage while educating and currently caring for over 600 displaced students along with supporting their displaced families. The children are doing their part and we must do ours:
-Food
-Education
-Housing
-Safety from trafficking
-Healthcare
-Higher education for those who pass the examinations at our two accredited schools and who want to attend college.
Arriving at the school/orphanage we support, we were gratified to see healthy, smiling, animated children. This is remarkable given the disruption and trauma they have been through. Little Mercies has recently purchased land for another school/orphanage to educate and house even more Burmese children who remain some of the most vulnerable children in the world. Our hearts are full, and our resolve to amplify the plight, and build safety and support for these children in extraordinarily vulnerable life circumstances remains sturdy.
Thank you for helping us do the right thing! For those interested in joining our efforts please donate! Spread the word. Research what’s happening in Burma/Myanmar to better understand the vulnerabilities of the displaced youth, and come to beautiful Thailand with us.
