The southern edge of Magnolia is graced with a string of parks, and this one is named after Magnolia community activist Ursula Judkins. Judkins was one of Magnolia's most powerful community advocates, whose legacy lives on with the acquisition of this park land, the construction of Mounger Pool, and preservation efforts at Discovery Park. When the southeast tip of the Magnolia Bluff became a Seattle Park, there was nobody better to name it after than Judkins. It is, after all, how Magnolia keeps its eye on Downtown.
