Join us for Archipelago of Resettlement, Intergenerational Remembrance and the Nguyễn Thái Bình Collection, a full-day event (10:30 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.) on Wednesday, April 24 in the Petersen Room of the Allen Library.

There are three sessions you can attend separately (10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.; 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.; and 3:15 - 5:45 p.m.).

This event is sponsored by the Center for Southeast Asia & Its Diasporas, the UW University Libraries, the Department of History, the Department of American Ethnic Studies and the Greater Seattle Vietnam Association. Registration is recommended in order to get a headcount for refreshments at jsis.washington.edu/csead/events.

Greater Seattle Vietnam Association has been actively engaged with arts and cultural exchanges, humanitarian assistance with Vietnam for over twenty years. This year, it expands the agenda to a new higher level: people-to-people exchange and international education. Yes, cultural exchange, study, travel, and international friendships that last for life- that’s what the Early Fall Exploration seminar in Vietnam is all about. This three week program, titled “Northeast Vietnam: Cultural History and Landscapes,” is packed with exciting activities, from touring the historic districts in downtown Hanoi and Haiphong, enriching your knowledge about Vietnam’s cultural history, to getting acquainted with friendly hospitable host students, enjoying some of the most beautiful, picturesque landscapes in Northeast Vietnam, and helping to make a difference to better the life of disadvantaged children.
