Over $8 million has been awarded to students of all backgrounds in support of their careers in hospitality. Since her years as Northwest Chapter President and then International President, Anita has always been a fervent supporter of NEWH. Congratulations, Anita L. Degen!

The overall design approach is a complimentary design aesthetics highlighting the delicate balance of nature with a focus on urban wellness, intentional living and a holistic approach to honest elements found in our world.

PHASE 1 design has a energetic and invigorating vibe using warmer color, textures and tones with a rhythmic cadence subtly woven throughout the spaces.

PHASE 2 focus’ on natural line, botanical elements and organic lines to evoke a sense of inner harmony.

Degen & Degen are the interior designers on this new multi-family community in Southern California.

Pelican Grand Beach Resort, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Multi-phased, 500 feet of pristine beachfront makes up this 169-guestroom ‘grand dame’ of Ft. Lauderdale. Degen & Degen’s involvement in this phased renovation started in 2017 with the redesign of all the 145-guestrooms, 16 suites and creating 8 new luxury suites.

Our team was able to transform the guestrooms into a true coastal luxury escape. Taking a cue from its beachfront surroundings, the bleached linen color palette provides a neutral base to showcase bright locally sourced chroma accentuating the resort’s best asset – the unobstructed sunrise and vast ocean views.

Our most recent phase, to refresh the Lobby experience. Our mission was to continue to honor the old Floridian charm of the existing property in a refreshingly modern, European-boutique hotel environment.

With Optimism as our muse, Degen & Degen carefully tended to the principals of the Courtyard Marriott brand while remaining historically faithful to the character of this unique property.

Design emphasis was on clean backdrops punctuated by bold, sunny hues; simple shapes & retro-inspired statement pieces; open, airy space planning emphasizing practical simplicity, and future-focused amenities & technology.
