Claire + Michael spent 4 hours with me climbing the mountain, finding nooks and crannies of all kinds to explore in the changing light. Counting the days until I get to photograph their wedding next month!

I’ve said it before, but some of my favorite family photos happen inside a home. I love the energy and life that ignites within a family’s space. Kids feel more comfortable faster and getting to capture a moment in time inside a family’s own walls always inspires me.

AnnMarie + Daniel’s urban S**o wedding closed out my season this summer with a bang. Thank you to all of my couples who trusted me with their big day. This past season was filled with 2020 rescheduled weddings that finally got to happen, newly planned weddings that went off without a hitch and 57 family mini-sessions squeezed in between. What a summer! They’re saying this next one is estimated to be the busiest wedding season yet and I believe it! ✨

A little snippet of the fun that and I had photographing her blog rebrand! She is the queen of delicious & beautiful recipes and her blog is a one-stop-shop for unique additions to your weekly meal planning. Persimmon & hazelnut cinnamon rolls & buttermilk-brined chicken with preserved lemon aioli are on my short list of meals to try ASAP🍴

One of my favorite shoots from last year. Deandra + Pat met up with me right as our city slowly started opening back up. Pioneer Square was full of boarded up windows masked with beautiful murals so we wandered the streets, caught up about our last year and made some updated family photographs for them.

Life started moving so quickly once 2021 arrived so these days Instagram seems to be a better representation of my current work than my website….slowly but surely I’ll get my work from 2020-2021 up there but until then, thanks for following along here! My small business appreciates you!

This wedding season has been a wonderful blur. My couples have been absolutely amazing this year….through reschedules and new covid-friendly plans, smaller guest lists and flexibility…everyone has been such a joy to work with and photograph. The entire wedding industry has been holding on for a wild ride this summer and I can personally say that my couples have all handled it with grace and ease.

I have tons more work to share soon but for tonight, here’s Teresa and Dan, overjoyed to finally be celebrating their wedding!

2021 marks my 10 year anniversary in the industry that I love. I’ve been photographing weddings & families for all 10 and homes/interiors for the last 5. I’ve loved every evolving minute!

In 2011, I was on the cusp of finishing my degree and applying to grad schools for Speech Pathology but I just couldn’t get myself to study for the GRE and start applying. I had been teaching high school darkroom photography that entire time, always had a camera in my hand since I was old enough to use one but never quite knew how to pursue a career out of it. I thought a career in speech therapy and a hobby of photography was the answer.

One day my path crossed with Mary McLeod at the most divine time. She was looking for a wedding photography intern and I was eager to learn. Over the next couple of years, I fell in love. Weddings completely changed me and I knew I was finally on the right path. Soon thereafter I found my way to Seattle and started my own business.

Owning a business has been a wild adventure filled with good days, hard days, uninspired days, career-changing days and everything in between. I’m thankful for all 10 of these beautifully messy years and everything they’ve taught me. I still have so many ways to grow in my craft and things to learn, but that’s the beauty of it all. If you're at a fork in your road, too, take a chance. I’m reminded that most good things are scary at first and leaps of faith are crucial.
