Sneak preview 1: Orchid SSH.

My favorite young horse training task is first saddling. Here is Orchid SSH, a long yearling filly. I carried the saddle to her (she wasn't even interested enough to sniff it), placed the pad, saddle, and girth all with no fuss, nervousness, or fear. Took about 2 minutes. Here she is showing how concerned she is. And posing for me at the end. I like to show them these facts of life early. She won't be started for at least another year, but she won't be worried about tack when the time comes.

Looking for a local (central/south Texas) tax exempt equine rescue our therapy program to donate my horse stuff to. I will not piece it out - it’s all or nothing.
