On Friday, May 3rd, Northside's staff and students applauded Seneca High School's Senior Class of 2024 as they walked the halls of their former elementary school.
On Arbor Day, in honor of the 2024 5th grade class, Ms. Land planted a tree with Mrs. Bakerβs class.
Volunteer Recognition Day, observed annually on April 20th, honors the invaluable contributions of individuals who generously dedicate their time and efforts to enriching the lives of others. These unsung heroes selflessly extend a helping hand, tirelessly working to cultivate positive change in our communities. From lending support in classrooms to supervising field trips, and from participating in events like Real Men Read and Field Day, the volunteers at Northside embody the spirit of compassion and service. We were able to marvel at the beauty of the universe. π It was more than just a spectacle; it was a wonderful learning experience, sparking curiosity and wonder in our young minds. ππ Let's continue to explore and embrace the wonders of science together! π
π Get ready to witness the show of the season! π On Monday, prepare to be dazzled as the Upstate of SC experiences a mesmerizing Partial Solar Eclipse, peaking from 2:55 to 3:05 pm with 80-85% totality! ππ All students will have the chance to safely witness this cosmic spectacle, equipped with district-provided eclipse viewing glasses. Safety first: remember to put on your glasses if you're catching a glimpse of this awe-inspiring event during dismissal or on the bus ride home. πβ¨ We've prepped our students on the importance of safe viewing, but for those opting out, simply refrain from looking. π«β οΈ Let's keep the excitement high and the disruptions low! If you plan to pick up your student early for a front-row seat to this celestial extravaganza, please ensure you retrieve them before 2:15pm. Hello everyone!
Hope you're soaking up the last weekend of spring break! Yesterday, Friday, March 15th, was an exhilarating day for us at the SWU Regional Science Fair. We proudly brought 10 projects and 14 brilliant students to represent our school in this thrilling event.
Our students dove into some fascinating science labs in the morning and nailed their project presentations! Huge thanks to all the parents, grandparents, and family members who joined us to share in this memorable experience.
And now, drumroll please... π₯ We're thrilled to announce that out of 10 awards in the elementary division, Northside clinched an impressive 5! Here are the outstanding results:
