Dear Budding Voices family,

There is no easy way to share this news so I will just rip the bandaid off. Budding Voices will be closing its doors at the end of 2023. As most of you know I am in an ever shifting season of life. There have been so many unexpected changes over the past year, both in my personal life and for BV.

Daryn will be transitioning to an opportunity closer to her home in Virginia. The commute is difficult for her. I am so happy she has found her next career adventure.

Despite my best efforts, I have not been able to hire additional clinicians that meet the BV standards. I am unwilling to offer our families anything less than the best. And after a lot of consideration, I need to take steps to provide myself and my children with stability. With the current economy, BV is unable to provide me with that stability. Like most other small businesses, BV accumulated some debt over the pandemic. Compounded with significant increased to the monthly rent of the office space, I find the company struggling to make ends meet.

I wish I could provide you with concrete details about what comes next, and I don’t have all the information I need just yet. I am currently looking into other employment opportunities for myself, both locally and with a commute. My intention will be to continue treating at BV through December. As the plan to transition materializes, you will all be kept in the loop.
