Many of our friends have heard, but it’s time to formally share the sad news of Jay’s passing. His soul is free from a body that could no longer keep up with him. He will be missed tremendously.

Lot 13 Marben’s Picabo
This one only leaves home because our cow numbers are high and we only sell our best. She has all you could want in a production female and is pretty enough for the front pasture. Selling bred to our Anderson Hill Usher sired bull, so a very interesting prospect in the calf you’ll get out of her.
Lot 10 Marben’s Serenade
The Ambassador daughters have been wonderful cows for us with fabulous temperaments. This heifer has the additional backing by our star cow family. If you want something to have fun showing now but need to trust in her brood cow performance later, bid early and often!

“Marben’s Concert”
Our bull calf offering for tomorrow is one that’s only available because we have kept too many closely related females. "Marben's Clapp"
We wanted to offer real herd builders at the National event, even if it stings to let them go. Here is our bred heifer entry. Clapp is a beautifully made heifer sired by Marben's Zeus and bred to our new young herd sire Marben's Toasting (Anderson Hill Usher x Marben's April) for a November calf. This is a really nice female that can help you start a new competitive herd or add some new blood to an already existing one.

"Marben's Symphony"
When choosing consignments for the spring National SaIe, we wanted to include those we thought could really add to a breeding program. This heifer (a daughter of Park Perseus and our beautiful Marben's Chant) is one we had not planned to part with, but wanted to share our best. She has been shown several times in the competitive AOB classes and held her own. Show her this year and breed her as you like. Her unique pedigree adds some diversity and allows for using a variety of bulls. Lot 9 * April 23, 2022 * Fryeburg, Maine - see link for details

Our Story
Jay and Tiggie Gerli breed champion Belted Galloway cattle and Bernese Mountain Dogs. We take pride in our breeding programs, testing our animals for champion breed consistency, structure, temperament and longevity. We have been breeding Belted Galloways since 1984 and Bernese Mountain Dogs since 1993. As well as our Galloways and Berners we have added a small herd of champion Herefords.
We moved to our farm in Sharon, Ct in 1993, where we raised our two children Bennett and Brooks. They have been an integral part of raising the cattle and dogs.
With over 30 years of experience in breeding Belted Galloway cattle, we focus on producing moderate cattle that can maintain their condition and raise a calf with limited intervention from us. We are proud to say that all of our Belties have pedigrees that trace back to original Scottish bloodlines.
We show a select string of Belted Galloways and Herefords, putting them in the care of JP Hausner, at Hausner Cattle Company. We have been privileged to raise several National Champion and Reserve Champion Belted Galloways over the years, and are very pleased with the success our Hereford program is having as well.
