TEN YEARS.
Wow. Guys I cannot believe I’ve spent 10 years in the best career ever!! I know a while back I said there was cool stuff coming. Cool stuff like THIS SHOOT (thank you to the lovely talented Abigail Thomas), better work/life balance and GROWTH for Unraveled.
It has seriously been the best ten years. Starting at Salon 77, then after 3 years starting at Salons by JC in August 2016 and moving rooms up the hall each year as the bigger ones became available HAHA! Then.. buying a beautiful home in 2020 and bringing the salon to the renovated garage. I’m so deeply thankful and PROUD. Thankful for all of you who continue to call and text me for appointments, following me everywhere, seeing me through many changes in salon and life, and letting me serve you through many of life’s ups and downs as well. You all know me and my heart and my heart has always been to treat my business as my ministry. I pray that I have succeeded but I know we can all always strive to be better! As I sit here and type this on the anniversary that my license was issued (🥲), I promise to continue to be better and DO better.
I’ve been thinking and praying a lot about what these next ten years will look like. And as we approach the holidays and new year, I appreciate the support in advance for any small or big changes that are in store. (No, I’m not moving anywhere lol.)
I just cannot stress enough my gratitude for you all. You know my business was founded on God and many of you know the story of my business phone number spelling out the word “Unraveled” as I planned to take that leap into owning a business. Well, He has proved it. He has carried this salon the whole way. As I pay attention to how many new stylists struggle to build clientele, I think about how blessed I was from the start. It’s been such a joyful easy time. Yes, there have been scary times of uncertainty but mostly just the best ten years ever. You all mean so much to me. You’re not just clients. You’re friends that I cherish!!
I have some great plans for the next 10, and I cannot wait for you to be there with me 🥰
In the spirit of celebration, please share with me in the comments some of your favorite moments and memories from Unraveled. Dearest Unraveled clients,

Happy New year everyone. I pray you all had amazing and safe holidays with your families. You all know it’s always been my heart to stay in a reasonable price range, which I intend on staying in. However, due to the way the world is and how inflation has affected everyone, there will be a small price increase starting in March. I definitely didn’t want to slap you all with a “HAPPY NEW YEAR!” price increase in January, so I figured I would give plenty of time for notice so everyone could recoup from all the holiday expenditures. This increase will be active immediately March 1st.

Many of you have been with me since the start of my career and words cannot express how grateful I am for that, deeply and genuinely. I hope this doesn’t affect you all too much. However, if it does, please know I completely understand. I know times are hard for everyone, which is why this price increase is more necessary than usual due to product cost, demand, time, education and many other things. From 2020 to 2021, things such as equipment, tools, insurance, foils, gloves, and color have almost DOUBLED in price. As well as everyone’s groceries, gas, utilities, services, extras and everything else. This isn’t in ANY WAY out of greed…. This is purely business, survival, worth and value.

If you have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to ask me for clarification. The new price menu will be posted soon. I want you all to know I pour my heart into every service and I work really hard to keep things consistent and for you all to have the best experience possible. All the while, working to IMPROVE. I don’t want to end up in a place that devalues and underpays how hard I work. I just want to be as good to myself as you all are to ME! I love you all and I appreciate and thank you continually everyday for your support. YOU are the reason Unraveled still exists.

On this day last year, I started a new chapter of being a business owner and started work in my own house :) it’s been the most rewarding year and I cannot thank you all enough for supporting me through and through. I am incredibly thankful and overwhelmed with pride for what I started years ago :’) Merry Christmas everyone and happy first day of December! 💐🥰🤗❤️

August 16th, 2016. Thats the say I started my salon and embarked on a brand new journey of being self employed. Wow- what a four years it’s been. And FOUR ROOMS LATER! I cannot express my love, thanks, gratitude, tears, joy, passion, or heart enough to you all about how blessed I feel and how honored I am to take care of all of my wonderful client/friends. Your loyalty, relationships and trust keep my business going. God has carried me every step of the way and He is continuing to do that now with my next huge step in this career.

Today was my last bittersweet day at Salons By JC in Newnan. Every single fellow stylist, receptionist, and friend that I’ve met along the way will always hold a special place in my heart. You’ve made working there so fun and full of life. I’m truly grateful for Meena and Jay for taking such good care of me all these years and making this salon a carefree and peaceful place to work. (There are so many of you I could tag also, but you know who you are!)

I had a wonderful last day today (thank you Maddie Gordon for being my last client here in this building. so cool ☺️) and I think it’s only fitting that I cut my Grandfather’s hair on my last day also since he has played such a huge part in my next steps. Also Alyssa popped in and made my day too ❤️

I am so excited to show you all what’s next for Unraveled :’)

Yesterday was “first time balayage” day 😍🙌🏼 I love how excited Chloe was to get her hair colored for the first time. So natural but so different too!
