Hello lovelies! I'd like to introduce you to Milana Rose Malyar. We call her Millie! She made her appearance on Tuesday August the 16th at a whopping 9 lbs and 4oz! Nick and I are so thankful to have her here healthy and strong. We love her so much and can't wait for her to meet fur brother Winsty later today!

- About my delivery: Many of you know, I was dreaming of doing it all natural! She was too big, especially in the should area. So a c-section it was. Even though our plan changed, I had a really great experience. The staff at Peidmont Fayetteville have taken excellent care of us.

- Swipe all the way over to see her hair! She has sooo much hair!!! Maybe that wivestale is true and that's why I lived on pepcid lol. I'll post a better picture of the back when I get one.

I'm hurting a bit today & pretty tired, so I probably won't be able to respond to any messages. Just know I appreciate all of you & miss ya! 💗

Happy Sunday lovelies! I know many of you are probably thinking about going lighter now with the warmer weather approaching.
Here are some tips/reminders:
- Olaplex is a blonde's best friend! (It is actually great for anyone who receives dimensional color.)
- Wear a hat or scarf if you are spending alot of time in the sun to avoid color/ toner fading.
- Be careful while using sunscreen, bronzer, or tanning lotions as these can discolor the hair. I see this all the time, especially on those bright highlights around the face!
- If you are a swimmer you'll need to snag some clarifying shampoo to get the chemicals out. Also be sure to put some leave-in conditioner in your hair before swimming.

Being from Tennessee, not far from where Dolly is from, my ears perk up when I hear volume. She now has a style that gives her fullness & will be easy for to style at home. She was over the moon. 💗

Why is it such a process to change your hair when you have dark hair or you've had previous color applied?

- I like to use the analogy of a chocolate chip cookie to explain this. Melanin: the pigments that determine your hair color. The melanin pigments are the chocolate chips. The more you have the darker the hair is. The darker the hair, the more pigments have to be remove when going lighter. The pigments in permanent color go deep & bind together inside the hair. It's like if you put 5 chocolate chips together inside of a cookie, they would melt together, thus making them more difficult to remove while not destroying the cookie! 🍪

Transformation in progress for this beauty! We are working towards blonde, but we have to get through some old box color & professional color first. We will get there in time, our main goal is to ensure the integrity of her hair!

Reasons your stylists may recommend breaking the lightening process up into sessions:
• To maintain your hair's integrity. This is first priority!
• To avoid having to cut a significant amount of length.
• You may have had recent color and your stylist wants to give your hair a break or let some of the color fade naturally.
• If you have been dark for a long time, slowly transitioning is less shocking.
• A big transformation is costly 💰. Doing this in sessions can be more budget friendly.
