Longfellow Elementary School

Longfellow Families, we do ask that if you can remind your students that when Longfellow is closed and the gates are locked up, that students should not be climbing over or crawling under the fence to go onto the playground. While we'd like to provide your students with a safe place to play and hangout, when the gates are locked, the playground is officially closed. There's been a number of times kids from the community have been on our playground either after hours or on the weekends.

We appreciate your assistance with this, and as always, please feel free to reach out to the Principal, Mr. Hinn.

Join Red Raider Robotics at the Maker Faire on June 15!

Longfellow Student Council organized a school-wide penny war to help raise money to donate to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Every classroom participated and the school reached their goal of raising over $1,000 dollars. Ms. Hintze’s third grade class raised the most money as a class with a grand total of $150.87. Fourth grader, Kashton M. came up with the idea to have a lemonade stand and bake sale to help raise additional money to help the school reach our fundraising goal. The lemonade stand was a huge success and the students enjoyed participating in the fun.

Thank you to all of the Longfellow families and staff who contributed to the penny war and helped our school reach our $1,000 goal!

The staff at Longfellow would like to shout out a huge THANK YOU to Sunday Dough for helping us kick off Teacher Appreciation Week last Monday. The donuts (big and small) were absolutely amazing! We're also sending huge THANK YOU to Olive Garden for their donation of the tastiest salad and warm breadsticks! We certainly didn't go hungry on Thursday! We are so thankful for local businesses like these that go out of their way to make teachers feel appreciated.

It's almost time for the Annual Longfellow Carnival! Please consider making a donation to help us make this event as successful as it can be!

If you purchased your child's yearbook at registration, there is no need to return the order form.
