One year ago we woke up to the news that a fire had started in the middle of the night at Augustine, and the damage was catastrophic. It was one of the toughest & saddest days, but what I remember now isn’t the damage and heartache left by the fire. The building was still smoking as friends and staff gathered to help pull out anything we thought was salvageable, and their support, help and kindness made one of the worst days bearable.
Today- construction goes on, and as we inch ever closer to being able to welcome you all back, I’m reminded of what was made abundantly clear last year- Augustine is and always will be more than just a bar, it is a community, and it’s family.
