Thank you to everyone who attended our Freshman Roundup tonight! We had a large crowd and some great performances from our students 🤠💙🧡

If you ordered during the 1st round, the shirts are available for pickup at Shreveport Gymnastics.

If you ordered during the 2nd round, the shirts are to be delivered to us by mid-week. As soon as we receive them, our plan is to sort and distribute to students Friday afternoon.

If you ordered after the 2nd round, you need to call Shreveport Gymnastics.

We will update again once we have the shirts on campus to verify the Friday distribution.

Until then, students can wear shirts in school colors or spirit shirts. Khaki bottoms must be worn from day one.

The Providence House- Shreveport is inviting YOU to their "Back To School Bash!" on Friday, August 2nd in the Caddo Common Park!

Providence House hopes to empower and support PH families and the community by providing tools to help them thrive. Participants will have access to resources they may need for the back-to-school season!

🛑SHREVEPORT POLICE NEED TWO CROSSING GUARDS🛑

The Shreveport Police Department is seeking to hire two dedicated Crossing Guards for specific positions: one for University Elementary School located at 9900 Smitherman Dr in south Shreveport, and one for St. Joseph’s Catholic School to work the intersection of Patton and Anniston. Please note that we are only hiring for these two specific positions.

The position offers a pay rate of $14.00 per hour, with a commitment of 10 hours per week while school is in session. Crossing Guards work one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon, Monday through Friday.

Applicants must be able to move into the roadway to stop traffic, ensuring the safe crossing of school children.

Parents in light of the recent cell phone policy that passed through the governors office the Disciplinary Committee for Caddo Parish Schools is sending a recommendation to the board on how to discipline a student who is caught with a cell phone.

On Tuesday at 4:30 during the Caddo Parish School Board Meeting there will be a public hearing on this for parents to come and speak and there will be a vote on this.

They currently have an exhibit of artwork of various mediums done by Caddo Parish Public Schools Art educators! This is a fantastic display of creativity and artistic genius! Southwood's very own art teachers, Mr. McDaniel and Mr. Garcia, both have pieces on display. The museum is open Mon-Fri from 9-4 and is FREE! Go be inspired!
