For those Vikings who are registered for Urban Support Summer Camp:

Camp will be 8am-3pm, Monday through Friday— with the exception of June 19th, in celebration of Juneteenth.

Students may wear regular clothes within Caddo dress code.

We look forward to a fantastic and engaging summer experience with your child. We’ve planned a variety of fun activities and field trips for your child to enjoy.

Are you ready for adventure? Sign up for our Summer Reading Program!

The SML Summer Reading Program is open to all ages. Patrons can participate by logging books online and attending a large variety of interactive programs this summer at Shreve Memorial Library. Children, age birth to 10, are encouraged to read five books over the summer, teens age 11 to 17 are asked to read at least three books, and adults are tasked with reading two books. As patrons log books online, they will receive digital badges for each book read. Those who complete the 2024 Summer Reading Program quest will receive an assortment of prizes including bags, books, pencils, erasers, and other promotional items.

Field day Fun! We had to adapt & overcome but our Vikings were all smiles. 😊😊💙

This is our field right now where we have field day. We are trying to have a small version of a fun day for the kids. We have NO WHERE to put that many people, so that’s why it was asked no parents. We are only able to a few things and can not be on the grass, as it’s too wet!

If you have already bought tickets (no matter the amount) the kids will get to use them at the concession stand! For those that did not get tickets earlier/already there will be a $5.00 limit.

They may wear their shirts and casual bottoms (within Caddo Parish dress code) tomorrow.

I understand that you’re disappointed, I am too! Lots of planning done to have to cancel! I am trying to make a fun day for the kids. Please be patient!We are only able to put 2-3 events in place-safely for the kids!

Parents/Guardians,

Field day has been cancelled for Tuesday, May 7th due to excessive rain and muddy field conditions. Teachers will conduct a modified “inside field day” for STUDENTS ONLY at scheduled times throughout the day. We cannot accommodate parents. Students are allowed to wear field day t-shirts and casual bottoms on tomorrow in accordance with school policy. Concessions will be available for students only during designated times throughout the school day tomorrow. Since there are no food trucks, we will accept money for concession tickets tomorrow. We will only allow $5.00 or less per student and CORRECT change only. All food trucks have been cancelled.
