A group of Centenary College students, all aspiring medical professionals, recently formed the third cohort of the Summer Medical Scholars program, a collaboration between Centenary and Shreveport-Bossier City’s Willis Knighton Health launched in 2022.

The program pairs Centenary pre-med students with Willis Knighton doctors for five weeks of job-shadowing and mentoring opportunities during the summer. Entrance into the program is competitive and is limited to students majoring in the sciences who have expressed a serious interest in medical school or allied health professions.

The Supreme Executive Committee of Kappa Sigma has announced that the Epsilon Chapter at Centenary College of Louisiana will be recognized with a Founders' Award of Chapter Excellence (F.A.C.E.) for their outstanding achievements during the 2023-2024 academic year!

The Epsilon Chapter had their largest Pledge Class in years, recruiting 25 Pledges, and donated over $11,000 to charitable organizations

Every issue of Centenary Magazine is its own little celebration of Centenary College and the people whose efforts and accomplishments have made it such a special place, but the Summer 2024 issue brings the first tidings of a truly monumental celebration: the College’s bicentennial in 2025!

A full year of celebrations both big and small will kick off on January 8, 2025 ( #1.8.25, just like our founding year!) and continue throughout the year.
